Was the 2000s the last great decade for cartoons? The early 2010s had some good stuff, but I think the 2000s was the last consistent time in terms of quality.

              >it doesn't count because I said so
Kek most of those shows stayed good throughout their runs. Only ones that didn't were Spongebob and Ed Edd n Eddy.

I think Ed Edd n Eddy was more consistently good, the school season wasn't as bad as people say, it just wasn't the endless summer vibe we grew accustomed to.

I was born in early 1990, the math is easy. Rugrats started in 1991. SpongeBob 99, hey Arnold 96, Ed Edd Eddy 99, etc.

Rugrats, pre-movie Spongebob, and Hey Arnold all ended in 2004 and Ed Edd n Eddy ended in 2009. It's not like they all ended when the 90s ended.

Right, but all the best content happened before your time and you enjoyed it in syndication/reruns.
That's fine, but it was ours first.
Ed Edd n Eddy is the weird one out since it had such a long life and the movie did come out till I was an adult. I was watching it at 9 years old at first though

Right, just to be clear it's not like we 90s kids grew up on the smurfs. I mean I did see a few episodes in reruns, and eventually it was on boomerang if you had satellite, but that was our parents shows, not ours. The shows in your pic are thoroughly 90s kids.
Luckily zoomers still got to enjoy the tail end of the good content before cable focus shifted towards streaming models entirely.

I'm from 1996 and I've watched all of these in my childhood, there were lots of reruns.

      Also...
      >Rugrats and Hey Arnold ended in 2004.

Honestly 1996-1999 "zoomers" shouldn't even be called such because the 2000s really was a different time growing up than what turbozooms who grew up with an iPhone from birth had.

          >doesn't remember the 90s
          >still a 90s kid
That's not how it works. You have to have grown up in the 90s to be a 90s kid. People born in 95-99 are 2000s kids since they barely remember the 90s if at all. Even 93-94 aren't really 90s kids. 92 is the last year that feels safely "90s kid" to me.

              >I distinctly remember most of the 90s
Memories start for most people at age 4. Assuming you aren't exceptional, your memories would have been 1998-1999. That's not "most of the 90s", it barely even qualifies as the 90s. You don't remember Kurt, or Tupac/Biggie, or raves.

Yeah, right when early 90s generation was becoming teens and the focus of shows shifted to better reflect that demographic aging up.

            >Zoomer
What? Did you misunderstand me, or are you just calling me a zoomer to try to rile me up somehow? I was born in early 1990.
I don't think that makes anything special or exclusive to me, but it does put some shows more firmly in my generation than others. That doesn't mean other people shouldn't enjoy it as well.
Adventure Time is a show more in the zoomer generation for example. I still watched it.
These shows listed are more of my generation, and I'm glad people a bit younger were able to experience it too.

It's a boarding house, it's meant to be cheap. That's why Oskar and Mr. Huynh were there. Arnold just has a nice room because he's the landlords' grandkid. My headcanon was that they tricked it out with an inheritance from his parents.

Not immediately. Things that had started production before 9/11 were still coming down the pipeline in 2001-2004 like the LOTR trilogy, Samurai Jack, and early Adult Swim. It's not until 2005 where they ran out of media produced pre-2001 and the cracks began showing.
