He's a funnier character than we've ever had before
he was okay. he didn't take too much screen time and was likable.
What was likable about him? He seemed like dude weed lmao: the character. I also didn't find a single thing he did funny. Whenever he was on screen I'd just think 'why are they hanging out with this annoying guy'. Not trying to be negative, if you like him go ahead, I just really didn't.
nah, it's real easy to tell when it's just going to be fluff. pretty much anything involving dude weed mexigay and will was an easy skip. anything with the porch monkey.
plus lots of quick skips to just speed up scenes in general. lot of wasted time in this season.
>why are they hanging out with this annoying guy'.
Because through his employment he would provide them with an improvised sensory deprivation tank for the season's climax, he also provides comic relief.
Season 4 was long, but I wasn't particularly bothered by its filler because it pertained to what was going on. I mean yeah did we really need a saving Hopper adventure? No we could have done without it, but was it bad? No I enjoyed it for what it was, even the Russian side characters.
The only thing that got annoying this season was them making Will a homosexual and drawing that shit out.
We don't need to retread that shit again.
We already had the same shit with Stephen and Robin last season.
It's not like Mike's going to break up with Eleven and spread Will's boipusssy; it's going to be the same exact predictable shit pep talk and then Will is going to find some other gay and all will be well in the end.
A major plot point is that Jonathan is a stoner now and he needed a stoner friend.
Though I do have to wonder with what money did they drive from California to Utah to Nevada then to Indiana. That trip would've taken a couple of weeks at least.
Before the last two episodes were released I was really worried that they were going to have him do something incredibly stupid that would help defeat Vecna. Like if his yo-yo was a kind of Chekhov's gun and they used it in the final battle for some dumb reason. I'm so thankful the writers didn't try any of that shit.
The kids assumed Vecna was serving the Mindflayer, but the scenes indicate it's the other way around.
From the looks of it, the Flayer seems to be something of biological significance to the demos, maybe something akin to the interconnected nerve network shit in Avatar.
Vecna hijacked it, if you watch the scene the thing starts out as a raging cloud but then transforms into a spider. Henry had an obsession with black widows, so basically he turned the thing into a big spider to symbolize his will I guess.
So what they did was the turned a former elder god entity into a fricking slave for a psychic guy. Kind of un-kino if you ask me. I didn't hate Vecna as a villain but I hated them shifting the blame to him. It would be so much better if it was explained that he made a mutual pact with it or some shit, but no. It might not even have a will of its own, it's just a tool for him to integrate with the upside-down's biology.
No, he let the mind flayer power him up by entering his body the same way it did with the demi's in russia he goes on a whole rant about to 11 telling her how it made him stronger

is getting it wrong they just wanted the obvious spider visual for the braindead audience
They were going for the angle that Henry was an autist and that everything he was doing wasn't based on rationality.
He was targeting people for le poetic reasons and it did seem like he needed time to fully scan their minds to make the link, otherwise he could have killed any of the characters at any time and the shit that happened over the last 3 seasons wouldn't have happened.
He also states that this new trick for portal opening was something he recently figured out.

>Getting it wrong
I mean maybe, he was drawing an image of the mind flayer before he saw it, but he was also sperging out about spiders.
So either he made contact with the thing at the house or the spider is what he imagined himself as and that's the form he has the shapeless smoke mass take.
Either way, several quotes Henry makes reflect what we assumed the Mindflayer stated in III and will says at the very end that it's Vecna who he felt. I take this more of an indicator that even if the Mindflayer has a will of its own, it isn't calling the shots.
necessary? no
was the California boys arc necessary? no
argyle was a welcome dumb comedic relief for an unnecessary sideplot. more of suzie and her sister plz

i used the fast forward button a lot with this season.
That seems weird to me. I'd rather watch it all so I can judge it effectively than skip through things and just assume they'll be bad.

the california boys part was the worse, argyle basically carried those segments.
>ohh the 80s
stop watch trash.
Why you tell him to watch trash
It seemed more 60s than 80s to me
He's a funnier character than we've ever had before
God damn mixed race people look like ass. Thank God I'm full white.
He could hardly look more indian
he was okay. he didn't take too much screen time and was likable.
literally hours of shitty filler in season 4
Nothing will ever top Season 2's pointless adventure with pajeeta.
yeah that was pretty pointless, but i don't remember season 2 having almost every episode being and hour and 20 minutes long. maybe i'm wrong though.

no it didn't. did you work on the show or something? it was a self-indulgent edit, full stop.
As necessary as pineapple on a pizza
So was he supposed to gay or something? I guess the herb really does lower your T and turn you into a feminized gayg
? he was flirting with suzie's sister
He was simping for the only camgirl in the entire show. He was a cuck not gay
necessary or not at least we knew for certain he was... NOT GAY.
We are stuck with this gay and we'll never see Eddie again.
If he isn't in S5 I won't even watch the show tbh
He's funny, kind and popular so he's going to have a gruesome death because the Fudder Brudders learned everything from Joss Whedon
I was talking about Eddie
Did you miss the violent death part or do you have hopes for him appearing as a force ghost
yeah, vampire eddie would be pretty kino

Yeah bro how else would they have known where to find a bunch of salt after dark?
Look what they've done... they massacred my boy.
im confused
vecna created the mind flayer?
what happened to it being an ancient being?
also why did they call vecna the mind flayers's general?

A fan edit that cuts out the bullshit and fluff would be great for season 4.
The constant scene callbacks for a moronic audience need cut out too.
Was it ever explained why dude took so long to kill four kids other than lol plot?
