When they changed the plot from literal shock collars to keep 'those people' in line to 'diversity hire cop instigates race war' Nick no longer owned a club but they wanted to throw a few scenes in.
Guess we missed out on the porn that would have been generated by the implications of sweet little bunny cop getting discovered by a bunch of people acting out all their 'run wild' fantasies.
It's also based on an idea from an even earlier version of the story, when Nick was an ex-con who was framed and Judy got roped into helping him prove his innocence, where they enter a strip club to shake off some animal(s) on their tails.
