Was this show actually good? I remember it coming on and I would watch it a little and then get super bored because it wasn’t like the other cartoons.

old kentucky shark remembers
It was so boring it became interesting.
It was art
the early seasons were fun and easy to get into as a kid. But as the show progressed it got more bizarre and odd. But those things don't always equate to being funny. (Adult Swim never understood this) It probably has its moments, but its not worth your time to sift through hours of lukewarm piss. RIP Zorak and Moltar btw.
its not the best show but it is extremely kino
It's a mixed bag, and varies episode by episode, particularly if someone you like is on or not.
Generally it's funny, but the interviews are mostly the low parts of the show. The real kino is the banter between SG, Moltar, and Zorak.
It's probably the best background noise/kino in the background show ever made, and laid the groundwork for what would become Adult Swim (or at least the GOOD parts of Adult Swim).
>It's a mixed bag, and varies episode by episode
Definitely
>particularly if someone you like is on or not.
I totally disagree. It really is all up to how the interview went and what angle they had for misrepresenting the guest or the stupid plot they came up with to sync with the guest. Some of the best episodes are with the worst celebrities, just because they found kino ways to make fun of them or if they randomly were extremely game to play around. Like Donnie Osmond was one of the best guests and Bob and David were tryhard and not good
Bjork as his wife was a fun episode. I don't even fricking remember Bob and David being on it, I liked them at the time and watched the show.
The Brak Show had its moments too, or at least Dad did.

Totally, I love the music of Beck, but his episode is shitty and I guess he must have walked out or something because it was really short. Or he got way too live for tv and they had to cut it all out.
I didn't understand it as a kid but I still watched it whenever it came on because even child me knew Zorak was based.
Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's boring. It's always comfy though. Great background noise show.
Last time I watched this show was when it aired, I didn't GET it 90% of the time. Re-watched it recently at 31 and I have way more appreciation for it.
Locar was my favorite, I liked the shows where the guests were kinda confused as to what the actual frick was going on.
Does anyone have the clip where Moltar is trying to tell a joke but Zorak keeps interrupting him?
>*sssiiiiiiiiippp*
Beefaroni.
>bloonk. bloonk bloonk.
There was quite a few cartoons from that era that I found boring as hell, the kind of shows that early 2000s e-girls would quote non-stop.
moronos #1 forever
the concept behind it is so golden but don't watch it with anyone who has no period sensitive viewing lense
it was a comedy disguised as a cartoon. many references. talk show format. i can't hate it.
It's a masterpiece. Consistently funny: interviews, sketches, songs etc
How they gave his own show to Tad Ghostal?
Any given second he could go mad postal
Quite funny with hits and misses but I agree with the anon who wrote that early AS writers often confused weirdness for humour. Maybe 1/3 episodes are genuinely funny, 1/3 are just okay and 1/3 are pretty badly written. Granted it was a TV show designed entirely for Gen X stoners to watch taking advantage of Adult Swim's right to use old Hanna Barbara cartoons.
