Very true, Merchant was severely underrated in the writing process of The Office and Extras.

The idea that David Brent would get work abused by his band much like he abused his workers, is poetic, however, the movie sucks because it continues BBC's tradition of worshipping Blacks.
The Black rapper doesn't feel like belongs in the same universe as UK Office, it is so fricking apologetic towards him, he is so good and deserves the recording deal, while David deserves nothing because he is middle-aged (agism).
