Most of the Family Guy writers want to move on to less 3 seasons if they're lucky vanity projects
I can't think of the worst gag, but probably one of those long ones. It's always 3 minutes of buildup with an 80s reference, gore, or an annoying drawn-out sound with barely any payoff.
Just because I'm curious what's Cinemaphile's favorite FG gag?
I thought the virtual insanity parody was pretty bad. It’s feels so forced and the writers didn’t even bother trying to fit the cutaway into the dialogue naturally. It’s not edgy or anything just feels so fricking weird to watch.
It's one of them. The Robert Loggia one also made no sense and wasn't funny.
I also agree about Conway Twitty or "cut to a long music video" it feels like they've given up on the show. Really most of their "anti-humor" cutaway jokes where the "joke" is that they cut to something really boring and long and it's not actually a joke, which is the joke. I feel like they just use it way too much, it doesn't feel clever or subversive anymore, and like most of the show's cutaways they don't have context that makes them work they're just there, long, dull, and above all incredibly repetitive and old and just tired as shit.

>spoiler
Dunno if it's my favorite, but I've always loved the one called up by Peter when he finds out Chris took his cardboard cutout of Kathy Ireland.
I swear they used the same cutaway gags twice at times. Two that come to mind are the stork saying he wants to make the babies and Peter in a giant sling shot.
no
It would be funnier if after all that buildup, he just says “yes”.
Mister Conway Twitty.
The whale.
>"Hey Lois, remember that time Brendan Fraser got an Oscar nomination for wearing a fatsuit?"
>entire feature film plays
he didn't just get nominated, he won best actor
>win best actor
>still can't get work
I wonder how they pitched that one
manatees
I still laugh at how much that triggered Cinemaphile
But did you laugh at the joke itself?
Any one where they play an entire live-action clip of a song.
Imagine pulling that shit then cutting to a commercial break. What a joke.

IMAGINE ME
PRESIDENT
Peter Cullen?! As in, Optimus Prime Peter Cullen?!

>comments calling this hilarious
The one where Peter Griffin looks at the audience and start screaming in agony as hyper realistic blood falls from his eyes
The Conway Twitty gag is what I personally cite as the moment Family Guy went to shit and never recovered.
Specifically the second time they do it.
Once is innovative, twice is masturbatory, and the third time was the epitome of laziness.
The one where Muhammad gave him the salmon helmet
>”Hey Lois, remember the time adult cartoons were good”
>Cuts to a black screen

Benjamin Disraeli and its not even fricking close
Literally the perfect cutaway gag
The actual worst gags are the ones they just stole from internet memes that are literally older than their target audience.
It's funny in a sort of "god this is pathetic" way, because the memes were irrelevant, they were unfunny, and the reproductions were lazy
Ye
it cant be the worst one because there are like several instances of them doing this sane joke with a different scenario
