They stopped paying the shills, or rather they started paying them to shill other stuff...
Like One Piece
firepunch is better
Short run manga are always better than long run manga. A short run has a beginning a middle and and end. Long form manga are basically crafted like Cliffhanger spoofs. Only concerned with TUNE IN NEXT WEEK and running forever.
absolutely not
you fricking wish
keep seething on Cinemaphile because your trash anime is cancelled
Which anime is this to which they are kneeling?
Bleach
Bocchi the Rock
The ending felt rushed (like in every fricking anime), but besides that, I really enjoyed it
Director was a hack
It was a shit adaptation because they hired a director who wanted to take an over the top black comedy action manga and direct it like a serious pulp film ala Tarantino.
Seasonal anime’s never last. Like dragon maid and cells at work and the various other nonsense
It was way overhyped for what it was. Some scenes were poorly animated or just poorly directed and the writing in some parts was just plain bad. Also the topic of grooming has been the mainstream since the past two years which was really bad timing for Makimas popularity as a waifu.
>Makima
>Waifu
Uh, that’s not Power
I'm not sure if that's the case. Personally I blame it on the pick for her VA. A soprano e-girl is the last thing most people imagined her to sound like. The waifu spot was taken by Power and Kobeni instead.
I legitimately thought the show was enjoyable, no more no less.
Cinemaphile gays are the worst
>Also the topic of grooming has been the mainstream since the past two years which was really bad timing for Makimas popularity as a waifu.
You people come up with every possible justification for why this show is a disappointment and so you end up saying dumb shit like this.
because anime is bad
Reminder this is literally the most Reddit anime of all time
It is.
These are the covers for the blurays.
>couldn't even parody noir covers like Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs
made in abyss is the only anime worth watching
Made in Abyss peaked in Bondrewd arc, though
It will never be as kino as that again
Idk, maybe it's because I watched it months after the the hype, but I'm waiting for season 2
>dude what if guy but his head is a chainsaw
Can't get much more Reddit than this
I accept your concession, redditor
yes you are
It's power a ripoff of her?
It was good though, way better than most Japslop coming out these days
It had some great animation while also having some pathetic animated shots.
The writing was atrocious.
And the general fun comfy vibe was discarded for a self-serious pulp movie vibe. Imagine something being directed by Tarantino but not having his incredible writing.
It was mediocre, the music and visuals were nice. Story was ok, but the power levels made no sense
>but the power levels made no sense
How so? The more feared a devil's domain is, the more powerful it is made sense to me.
>power levels
only zoomer spicks give a shit about that
>power levels
cringe
Aired in the same season as Bocchi the Rock
Chainsawsisters...
Kirarabros we fricking did it
People make fun of the seasonal waifugays, but they're controlling the industry because they're the only ones that know how the industry works and care enough to influence it. As Gaben said, actually money is how you steer a community.
>jeremy resorting to posting on Cinemaphile
It's the same exact story as always. Guy no one respects or thinks is strong gets a crazy powerful special ability through some miracle/crazy luck/subverting expectations and then proceeds to beat jobber after jobber. He gets beat up, he coughs up blood, the bad guy monologues, he smirks, the bad guy NANIs, he wins through some assault/because he continues to be underestimated. Anime is repetitive because all Japanese people know how to do is be samurai and do those HAI HAI HAI training slashes, and they integrate that into all aspects of their culture
Did...did you watch it, it's not about him getting stronger, it's about him doing what he wants, and he doesn't have the typical shonen protag goal of wanting to become the greatest X, Y, or Z, he wants to get laid
fujimo is a Cinemaphile gay, which uses a narrative style and references from postmodern and indie cinema such as, edgar write, tarantino or guy ritche. being published in shonem jump during a time when there was no competition guaranteed the work a special status. unfortunately the director of the anime cannot understand this idea.
I don't even know what this shit is about, it looks like tranime
It's about a guy who can create chainsaws from within himself
It sounds extremely stupid, surely he also fights with a man made of golf clubs or hammers.
Those don't exist yet but pretty much. My favorite is Flamethrower Man.
How could it have possibly "revolutionized" anything when it's just a generic power fantasy following the trends of everything else around it at the time?
souless cg shit
I read the manga and it’s vastly superior, the whole deal with Denji’s depression is actually pretty interesting and the best part is definitely the Darkness Devil was fricking awesome.
It peaked for me with the Gun Devil. Aki was my favorite his fate was so cruel it almost got a tear out of me ;_;
I hope they don't frick up the Gun Devil's arrival.
The actual manga fricked up the Gun Devil's arrival. Dude is present for like four pages total. Him being a red herring for the REAL final boss was the exact point I stopped caring about the story and just passively read until the end of part 1. They shit the bed there and never recovered. I haven't even started part 2 and don't believe I ever will.
The finale was pretty weak I agree. It's the one time where the zooming fast pace felt detrimental to the story. The info dumps were embarrassing, and it also sucks that they throw you some crumbs about what Makima is actually like but then it just ends.
The idea that she's an asocial autist yearning for love due to her upbringing as a government weapon and who puts on a coolheaded facade probably emulated from various movies she saw growing up is interesting.
If I'm going to watch violent edgy garbage, then I'm just going to watch good violent edgy garbage.. without any CGI
Oh yeah man looks epic
I wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't.
Yeah a 6/10 amazing
I don't get your point. It's an 80's horror OVA and your caring about rating on a site that gives shit Black Clover an 8/10 rating? There are like 6 Gintama shows in the top 20 of ALL TIME. I really don't think it matters.
I watched the whole first season and would give it a 7. The style is pretty cool at times, but also feels quite vapid and shallow. I felt the same way about Attack on Titan but hated how self serious it was compared to this, which I felt was at least having some fun with the concepts and had a bit of heart.
The characters were alright (the MC loving boobs and Makima is hot, and Pochita is based) but there's no particularly good antagonists. The story is pretty weak and feels like it's patchwork, I can see how it'd get a lot better later.
It just underdelivered on the hype overall.
Also I had a German b***h who I was really into who I was trying to get with last year and early this year. She was really into this stupid anime. She stopped talking to me in like March. Was trying to read the manga for this too but recently found out she has a bf. Story of my life really, but that kind of shit does kill your interest even more when it happens.
I know the site man. Anything that low with 50/50 recommended/not recommended is probably going to be bad. If you want actual kino like you described watch something like Ninja Scroll or vampire Hunter D. The shit you posted looks like some sloppy gore porn with the way it's been reviewed.
>If you want actual kino like you described watch something like Ninja Scroll or Vampire Hunter D. The shit you posted looks like some sloppy gore porn with the way it's been reviewed.
You don't know if something is good until you watch it instead of basing your opinions around other people's opinions. It may not be for you, but you wont know unless you give it a shot.
I mean Ninja Scroll was good you don't need to post the screenshots. I'm js you could find something people actually like at all. 6/10 is like a 60/100 for a game on Metacritic.
You're still not understanding the point, You keep resorting to this "ratings on some site is the be all end all".
I mean I would've been tempted to watch 2 50m OVA episodes but that is a pretty shit ranking. Like MAL really grades on a 5-8 scale with 99% of animes. You're going to say a 2/5 is worth seeing? If it was even a 7 I might consider.
You're not making any sense to me. Watch it or don't, it doesn't matter to me.
a 6/10 is exactly what to expect from a fun schlocky gorefest anime. Ninja Scroll is literally the same thing but the only reason why Ninja Scroll is more respected and popular overall is because it has a huge budget but content wise, it's really not that much better since you're watching them for the same reasons.
I kinda doubt it's purely production values but also isn't the whole point of anime as a visual medium to look nice? If it looks like shit and has a bad plot what am I even watching for? I've read plenty of gore shit as well and would also rate it like a 5 but doesn't mean I want to actively seek it out. Maybe if you compare it to Ninja Scroll positively I will give it a look because just posting a picture of screenshots tells me nothing.
I think it does look nice. Detailed character designs. Incredible color scheme, nice use of angles. Aside from that the animation overall is decent and delivers on the moments you want to see. The plot is a bit of of a mess but so is Ninja Scroll. Good luck I guess.
One thing I liked about Ninja Scroll was the characters and 80s action movie vibe. I just dislike when anime is very abstract without strong characters.
No one cares if you watch it or not you fat fricking spastic. The man’s just throwing out recommendations. More than you’re fricking doing
Kino
stop lying, no one likes it.
I watched it in one sitting
Had a good time tbh, didn't even check my phone
Only good anime coming through.
The MC is too unlikeable and not memorable in any way compared to the rest of the cast. The characters people give a shit about, meme, cosplay have their story arcs completed so they don't return for the second part.
I liked the first season, didnt like the 3D, but it wasnt the worst. The whole season felt incomplete, like the story had just started and we barely got any conclusions or payoffs to the plot threads introduced.
Loved the unique endings though, especially ending 5
>The whole season felt incomplete, like the story had just started and we barely got any conclusions or payoffs to the plot threads introduced
Well yeah, Season 1 only covered the introductory parts of the manga
yeah it stopped right where it actually gets fun as hell.
supposedly there will be a movie that covers the reze arc, and if it's true that is what's gonna make or break the anime tbqh. japs hated it.
Mediocre and Makima isn’t naked in it so I stopped caring
CGI like I said in one of these threads, it's shit and no one wants it at the level it's taken over in the industry.
>watch first episode
>Oh cool, gory anime. Could be a decent watch
>Ends with weird jap fetish coomer shit
>Instantly ruined
Dropped it with the femdom shit. why can't japs just make a decent show without cringe coomercore shit? Did the nukes really frick them up that bad?
Does this board even have moderation or is it a "anything goes" /b/ style??
there should be a way to report threads that obviously belong to Cinemaphile... but mods are too lazzy
This homosexual waits until the mods are asleep to make his thread.
They couldn't keep up the intensity of course ....They should have had a concise ending not drag it out for profits...
It fricking baffles me that fanboys of this series say it's 'unique' when the premise is literally
>Loser main character is gifted amazing powers out of nowhere and fights monsters
Not a weeb but I loved this anime, I was surprised to see it hated here.
Just look at it... Look at the name FFS.
Stupid trash.
The days of people making threads every single day about the same show have been over for a long time moron. There's just too much new content to consume people quickly move on to the next kino.
It's just a by-the-numbers shonen with a bit more horniness and bad cgi art. Nothing to hold my attention.
What the frick was it supposed to revolutionize when it just adopts the same anime tropes every anime has been utilizing for the last 25 years?
Grown ass adults dressing up as cartoon characters will always be too tier cringe. No other generation did this. What the frick happened?
imagine if a bunch of dudes dressed up in costumes from "their favorite anime" and did all this shit and "cosplayed" (in the actual definition of the word) and then video taped it and shared it with the public
What a bizarre thing to do
>stop having fun everyone! Immediately!
The frick has them not being dudes got to do with anything?
it's still cringe no matter what gender, but if these were dudes they wouldn't get off the hook so easily
if it was about having fun there wouldn't be a video camera
You’re a sad fricking c**t, man. I’d ask when the last time you actually had silly fun with your mates but I think this has been interaction enough, you joyless homosexual.
>t.
You know who else has fun dressing up? Kids during Halloween. Cosplaying is just showing the world you have some serious problems and are a god damn man child. It's worse than being one of those Disney adults. Look man if you're into in then fine but the fact you need to record it and upload it just proves you're into it for attention so you're no better than a basic b***h
the anime pretty much stops RIGHT BEFORE all the good shit starts happening. Kinda fricked up. Hopefully it gets a season 2.
off-topic thread
the source material is good.
the animation studio is complete shit.
it’s really good, but chainsaw man never should’ve become as popular as it is.
thank god firepunch is deranged enough to prevent normies from getting into it
It was the directorial equivalent of a chimp with a machine gun. MAPPA had the money but not the talent. I find the defense of the shoddy CG hysterical because only people whose brains are poisoned by anime would jump to defend it. People who aren't used to that kind of thing, ie that larger audience MAPPAtards were so sure CSM was going to reach, laugh that shit out of the room. MAPPA still has absolutely wretched compositing on top of this AND the director took
>Fujimoto has an understanding of filmic storytelling and knows how to present this visual story in a way that doesn't feel like it's written by an inept manchild whose only life experience is reading action manga that's up its ass with internal monologuing
as
>I should rip of Hollywood movies and make the whole thing about movies really on the nose
I will not include all the manga readers amongst the deluded, as many of them were split on the anime from the very moment MAPPA was announced to be producing it.
>I find the defense of the shoddy CG hysterical because only people whose brains are poisoned by anime would jump to defend it.
*zoomer ironic weebs
Real OGs fricking HATE CG ever since japs started relying on it for 90% of the stuff.
