Social media is Cinemaphile?
Yeah I would classify it as social media, Cinemaphile definitely.
Cinemaphile is the most honest social media, no post history, no screen names, just your opinion, unfiltered through what you think other people might think of it.
Yeah but sometimes you guys can be very mean and that causes me to have trouble sleeping later.
dikhed
Bro if you take absolutely anything on the internet seriously you have bigger problems than Cinemaphile. The opinions of strangers don’t matter. It’s not real.
Just close your eyes homie haha
Tough love is good for you, anon
sensitive young man
>no post history
Not quite true. If you're autistic enough to spam the same OP thread several times a month over the course of a year, you will have a post history contained in the archive
It's pretty close.
The third wolders have ruined the internet and their own lives.
It’s anti-social media, chud.
I do this but then don't return to the movie. If it's a good movie, I'll be captivated and not become distracted.
>judging a movie by its first ten minutes
movies are fricking doomed
If you can't hook your audience in the beginning you shouldn't be making movies. Authors for thousands of years have known that you start strong to get people to sit through the boring parts that come after, and good authors just make the boring parts not boring.
that's fricking horse shit. ten minutes? stephen king has been known to have slow starts to his books and he's one of the biggest authors ever. that's like giving up after 20 pages. your attention span is completely shot and you're just making excuses.
Stephen King has always been garbage mostly because of everything but his openings. Openings are the only thing he gets right.
No, he's mostly been alright but is known for having shit endings. A slow start doesn't necessarily mean bad, which was my point
Except "slow" isn't "boring". The opening to Die Hard is slow and interesting, the whole of The Expendables is fast and boring. You are disingenously trying to frame hooks as only being big dumb action scenes, to excuse shitty pseud nonsense that can't earn an audience.
Sorry, I can already tell we aren't going to agree on this. Giving up on a movie after ten minutes when you literally could just as easily know if you wouldn't enjoy it from the trailer is crazy. You've probably never finished a movie from the 70s
I want to suck her toes
>her
I knew Pizza personally. She was a regular in a /LULZ/ Skype group.
>was
what happened?
She cute
doing this right now with My Dinner with Andre.
Literally me a couple of weeks ago. That movie is fricking boring
I can watch a movie but i need to have a tab of music, a tab of asmr and a tab of chud news while playing an fps game at the same time.
>he doesn't watch his movies on 2X causing a 2 hour movie to last 1 hour
i seriously hope you guys dont do this
Are zoomers predominantly this moronic or is it just some of them? I'd like to think at least a majority of the ones who actually like movies don't do this.
i look like that and i do that
You guys must watch utter goyslop. I can't imagine doing that for LOTR let alone any actual high tier patrician kino
I’m watching Dune 2 right now. I started it 2 hours ago and I’m 25 minutes in.
see you tomorrow when you finish anon
For me it's watching goyslop TV shows like Seinfeld except instead of pausing I just leave it playing off to the side and wind up not really paying attention to either it or the posts I'm reading. It's an abstract sort of hellish feel.
You're not alone anon
I hope you are at least an alcoholic or pill popper or have some other form of escape for your own sake. Just stay off the ssris and antipsychotics.
If I didn't want to sit there and watch a movie then I wouldn't be watching a movie, would I?
i'm 9 minutes into the latest episode of Shogun and its been about 7 hours
>Shogun
how can you stand that trash?
I just ignore it until picrel is on screen.
honestly i'm starting to agree, yet another boring female centric episode with questionable historical accuracy that was pure fricking agony to watch took me all day to finish this shit
>9 minutes took 7 hours
the full 70 will take you 55 hours in total
update: since that post I am now at 33 minutes
>watch a movie
>get up midway through to run some errands
>2 hour movie is now 4 hours
Just don't watch movies but read reactions to them on Cinemaphile. I missed the Blur news and got it on here.
I honestly don’t know what that fricking guy was thinking, gee I’ll headline at a festival where teenagers are expecting to hear EDM. It’s like he hasn’t been told no in 30 years. The people that loved Blur and Gorillaz are all in their 40s
i seriously hope that you guys dont seriously hope that i dont seriously hope that you guys dont do this
I'm 32 but I barely got to live life because of my non-existant attention span. I'm interested in art and movies but just can't get myself to dive deep into any subject. Most people are alone because of social anxiety but in my case it's because I have nothing to talk about. People make it sound like it's no big deal, you just take longer to watch a movie, but it's seriously crippling for me. I just want to enjoy life and learn as much as I can but my brain won't let me.
My ocd, anxiety and whatever makes me rewind a scene if I don't hear it properly or miss something. Sometimes it's worse and sometimes I can power it through
I do it without pausing.
same and i check the movies wiki page if i don't understand the plot
>watch movie
>pause to do my anki learning assignments cause I cant break my 7 month streak
dekinai frog
>gaslighting
i seriously hope you guys dont do this
I'm doing that right now
no you aren't, fatty!
>Watch movie
>See black person
>Workout for 30 minutes fuelled by rage
>The israeli goyslop only makes me stronger
I do this, but to be fair I watch a lot of terrible movies
>watch movie
>endlessly search for ways the movie is trying to be woke
>find weak argument
>make post on Cinemaphile about it
I do this. I’ve been watching “The Third Man” for about 2 months now, just past the 1hr mark. If enough days have past I feel the need for a refresher so I restart, it gets less Kino everytime. And no I don’t care if I ruins my final impression of the film.
>I’ve been watching “The Third Man” for about 2 months now
I do sometimes do this if the movie is too slow or if it's a tv show episode that has recurring themes (Ie xfiles). I don't always pause though just alt tab
yeah i never finished the lighthouse because of this
You forgot the lost interest part but still wants to know the ending so you watch random movie recaps on youtube with 2x speed to know the rest of the movie in under 5 mins
>hungover as frick in vegas
>middle of the day
>star wars original trilogy is airing on tv
>bro and i scroll instagram memes and watch star wars all night
it can be comfy i guess. i prefer to just pay attention to what i'm watching if i'm into it, no distractions
It the movie is REALLY bad I would probably do that
