I know that it's not Cinemaphile but I unironically stopped watching Snowfall after a few minutes of the first episode because of a gay sex scene.

I saw a clip where Rayman changed his name to "Ramon" and dressed up like a school shooter. He invades some kind of corporate meeting and threatens to murder everyone if they don't cancel some televised execution. But after they cancel it he shoots them all up anyway.

The council basically runs the entire country and was secretly using him as a figure-head for their propaganda to indoctrinate children into their military while basically enslaving the animal hybrids that Rayman believed deserved to be treated equally. Once Rayman got out of line, they fired him and replaced him with some kind of clone (it's unexplained as of now). He stopped the execution because the frog they were going to execute was the one who exposed Rayman to the truth, then killed the council because he knew it would be the only way to get things to change.
Also of note is that one of the members managed to not get killed by virtue of not being there at the time.
That's a fine story but why are they using a Scrimblo Bimblo mascot from a series of 90ies-00ies video game platformers to tell it?
They didn’t, at least not at the outset. The story is suppose to be about a group of Suicide Squad-style characters doing a bunch of shit that ultimately means nothing and basically all of them die in the end. Rayman’s arc in the story doesn’t really kick off until about halfway in and then he’s the only one to do anything of actual consequence by going postal on the board of directors he had been answering to until then, who by the way are the Templars from Assassin’s Creed.
So wait all the main characters are dead is show a one and done situation

There was a lot of buildup to that scene. Rayman goes through a quality character arc before getting there. The series has a Paul Verhoeven vibe. You can take everything as ironic satire or as a serious action show.
