impressive kinos/hr rate you got there anon. i speed it up even further by researching the plots of movies before i watch them so that i avoid any potential confusion and backtracking.

    It's fantastic. Saves so much time. I vary between 1.5x - 2x

You're supposed to watch movies for entertainment. If you're enjoying it so little you need it to go by faster, why not watch something else?

I didn't say I wasn't enjoying it. I want to enjoy it and also save time to enjoy other kinos. It can almost double the amount of kinos I watch in a given time.

I know a guy who unironically watches stuff on 1.5x. He's a weeb and mostly consumes anime slop though so it's whatever

Playing at x1.1 is better for mood and cognition and you save a little bit of time too

Some people do it without even knowing. Older shows in syndication get played at slightly higher speeds as the older run times didn't allow for the modern standard amount of ads.

If a movie's less than 2 hours, I put it on .75 speed so it doesn't end too quickly

People who don't watch on 2x, 1.75x or 1.5x genuinely have no idea how it feels. These morons think it "ruins the experience". They have 100% no clue.

    Here's the scoop, morons:
after 5 minutes of it, your brain adapts, and you straight up sync with it. You perceive the speed as normal, and nothing feels off anymore.
You don't even notice it's faster, and you lose zero detail. You notice everything.

If you only ever watched 30 seconds of it, you wouldn't know, you never will.

1.5x is the sweet spot for this, especially if the movie is english, 2x is frankly moronic

Depends on the video. There's a ton of youtube videos that 2X works great. There's a lot of people who talk too slow or intentionally do it to just pad things out.

I do this with movies that I want to argue are shit without having to see them. You just read the synopsis on the wiki and you know everything that happens so you can tell people how stupid it is

Watch movies you know well at 2x in a non native language you want to learn, and the closed captions set to another language you have already learned. 4d checkers. I know kung fu.
