They accidentally included rehearsal footage that only had Jack in it.

This is from the remaster that was done after Kubrick died. Producers inserted CGI people in scenes, as people had been complaining there were too few people in such a big hotel.

Kubrick also forgot to remove the maze on the film set location, this guy did not even read the book he was adapting and made it a key aspect despite it is not even included in the book.

if you acutally marathoned the whole movie instead of just skipping through you would know that theres two ballrooms in the hotel and one is used for parties while the other for jack when he wants to be alone
Why would the ballroom still have that art deco look some 50 odd years later? The rest of the hotel appears to be in the style of the late 70s.
