they got streaming royalties written into their contract right before Netflix and the other services really blew up. I don't like unions, but that was a very forward-looking move from them. South Park racked up a rare L by mocking the unions for wanting royalties from the internet, because that wasn't a thing yet. South Park ended up getting hundreds of millions of dollars in streaming deals, a revenue source they predicted wouldn't exist.

I hope it lasts forever and Hollywood never sullies another cinema screen again.

will the israelites cave in and give the writers a raise?
i dont see how they can ignore them imposing a pause on any ongoing films for much longer

Chat GPT is already writing better scripts than anything humans can write, and it does it for free, and it takes mere minutes to write what would take dozens of humans weeks or months or more.

These fricking writers are in for a rude awakening whenever they open their fricking eyes.

These homosexuals are insane. They're demanding a new writer for every episode of TV series. So basically if Taylor Sheridan or Mike White just wanted to write their own thing, they'd be contractually obligated to pay a staff of subhuman "writers" for doing nothing.

Why not just hire new writers fresh out of Yale?

Because then the screen actor's guild and director's guild and the gaffers union and all the others will refuse to work on your project.

It sounds great, but unless you kill all those people, they will get together and have meetings and decide on how they're going to sabotage you and they have contacts and connections hidden all over the place, and they have money to spend and favors to call in.

You can't disenfranchise a whole massive industry of bloodsucking parasites, don't you think if it was fricking easy, somebody would have done it by now?

Remember, parasites always have barbed suckers. The best way to remove one is to never let it attach in the first place.

Hopefully not till the all get fired and will be desperate enough to scoop up any new talent they can find that's not a diversity hire. I could write circles around these people

If you can afford to strike for over a month you 100% definitely were getting paid too much before not too little.

Rule of thumb for showbiz union fellers is to have three months cash on hand in case of a strike.

You remember that TV commercial about how you can donate money to feed poor, starving holocaust survivors?

Well, in reality, all that money goes to a fund which the Hollywood israelites keep for just such an emergency as this.

You didn't think that money really went to a bunch of old ladies with rags on their heads in Israel, did you? Frickin' A.
