all Berserk fan animation either looks worse than Berserk 2016 or is a subtle downgrade from 1997 with shitty flash animation. the series would have a fine adaptation if it was handed to actual professionals with some talent and money.

I only need the one thing. Conan. If your mind can handle it, read a Conan book. The pinnacle of fantasy literature and will make you forget nonsense like Berserk exists with how good it is.

Conan is a garbage power fantasy. It's a cliched mess. Incredibly influential for its time, but if you actually like it for what it is you're obviously a pretentious NPC. It's a collection of short adventure stories with no actual central theme except Conan who is pretty much great at everything. And yes, I'm well aware that Howard started most of these cliches and trends, but in the same vein even though Birth of a Nation might be the most influential film of all time, that doesn't make it the greatest or anything.
