This. Get Out opening weekend was one of my favorite theater experiences. Elevated a 7/10 horror film into an enjoyably unique experience where the entire audience was super invested and reacting to every moment. It was the closest I’ll get to a Wakaliwood video jockey setting. The last ten minutes of that movie in a packed crowd of 80% black audience members is why that movie won an oscar.
