It has a modern vibe like jjk or some netflix 'anime'. Apart from that directing is very good, dialog is ok, visuals and animation are good. Unfortunately is has shitty tropes like MC being obsessed with his childhood female friend, or having some supporting character like a rich spoiled teeange girl who wants to fight monsters but acts like a 5th grader and has like the most advanced nano suit in the world. In other words high hudget but slighly moronic Japanese anime that tries to be more than just a shitty 12ep advert for merch.

Truth. I thought Anatomy of The Fall was solid 7.5/10 but the level of craftsmanship(I'm talking acting, editing, direction, use of music) is so far ahead of anime(or at least anime that these people shill) that it may as well be a masterpiece. I had these same thoughts while watching Seraph of the End. The plot is interesting and I like the worldbuilding, but the main character is so bland and the dialogue is just bad. I don't need to be told constantly how important family is or how much the characters care about each other, I should be able to INFER that from scenes with good character development. I have no idea why modern writers seem to think audiences can't think for themselves and need everything spelled out for them. It really diminishes the quality of what would otherwise be a great show.
