I don't care about the plausibility of it, I just don't want to see Black folk.
That might be the interpretation by racist and midwits, but I think it’s more when a movie (usually fantasy) breaks its own internal or universe logic, and people hand wave that inconsistency since there’s talking trees or something fantastical. It reminds me of when an actor in a fantasy show or movie, I think GoT, that used that same argument when people wondered how his character stayed fat while there should have been limited food access for said character. Unless the show established that he was from some race of creatures that stay fat no matter what, his argument is similar to OPs image.
It's funny that he's a Silvan elf, who are basically the lesser peasant elves who never saw the light of the two trees. The Noldor are all white in the series.

races, even unto the level of distinct tribes, have extremely common and constant physical characteristics that are stagnant and unchanging from generation to generation provided no mixture occurs, in the case of mixture, the dominant complety replaces the minority
groups in the LOTR universe remain fairly isolate, in a society undergoing a process of intermixture it is expected that phenotypes from both parent stocks be present in the mixed society, all societies except those that are already subsumed or described to be mostly dead already are given descriptions in which only a single and dominant phenotype is present
southern gondorians, especially those further west along the coasts are described as shorter, swarthier, and stockier than gondorians with a greater amount of numenorean blood (as contrasted with the prince of dol amroth), the book makes a broad generalization of a whole group of people purely to show how, as a people, they are different from another

harad is a dumb example, there are three different regions within harad and the total land area is larger than the kingdom of arnor
residents of southern gondor below the anduin are politically haradrim but are described as not different from their northern bretheren, but effort is made to describe haradrim, and the description of these haradrim differs from that of south gondorians, so we can only assume that harad is not wholly uniform in genetics and that the mumakil riders are wholly different from those others who technically reside in harad
>>see arabs in lotr, is quiet
...You mean the arabs who were from another country, invading? The ones who were from across the ocean, arriving in a massive unified military force as part of Sauron's call to arms as he was drawing all evil to him to take over Middle Earth? Those arabs?
It's not that they exist at all, you 40 IQ cave troll, it's when they're peppered throughout the setting like modern America without any justification. If the "arabs in lotr" were all over the place and we had muslim hobbits in the shire you would have a point, but it's like you're being disingenuous on purpose.
No it's pretty obvious that anon is a complete moron who was incensed by a post he didn't understand and rushed to make a poorly thought strawman out of it. He's already trying to get off on some kind of technicality like your typical leftist because I mixed up the movie's pirates and the haradrim when the original point still stands. It has literally nothing to do with them merely existing.
Here's another example of the writers not caring about the IP: the Zerrikaneans in The Witcher.
Described as strange looking exotic beauties from a distant land, the two Zerrikanean guards draw many eyes, as Zerrikanea is nigh impossible to travel to and from because of how inhospitable the only known routes are. It's then revealed that the man they're guarding is a shapeshifted dragon who could very well border hop them to the kingdoms.
Of course in the show, over 50% of the entire Northern Kingdoms look exactly like them. The lack of internal logic tears itself apart as they still try to play them off as strange looking foreign warrior princesses. Why is this the case? Why is it like this? The explanation is an external one; the show merely exists as a racial political vehicle.
>Zerrikaneans
This is so predictable and lame. You know, I am old enough to remember the old Polish adaptation. It does justice to this story from the first book. But these days, we can't have something created by Slavs as it is, frick no. It must be turned into another sort of American shit.
Dark skin IS the evil. It's the curse that warns they world that the person they're dealing with has a dark, twisted, evil heart of violence and greed.
Not really. He just accepts that there's a in universe reason for the things he likes but then can only comprehend an out of universe reason for things he doesn't like.
>but then can only comprehend an out of universe reason for things he doesn't like
Because the people making the material didn't come up with in-universe reason. That's the whole point of the post.
>If there's not an exposition dump for everything then there's no reason
I don't really watch this nerd shit but is there an in universe reason why most of the characters are white?
If you watched this "nerd shit" you'd know that a very significant portion of each film is the characters traveling from point A to point B. It takes them 40 days to move a few inches on the world map. There's no fast industrialized travel.
If you can't extrapolate why that alone would answer your question you might be too moronic for this board which is an achievement in and of itself.

Do you consider 17th-century slave ships to be examples of modern industrialized intercontinental travel? I used to make this argument too, that modern diversity is only possible because of modern transportation technology. But I wondered what would be the most direct way for sub-Saharan Africans to spread to Europe by the Middle Ages, and I concluded that it would have to be by going through Egypt.

>Do you consider 17th-century slave ships to be examples of modern industrialized intercontinental travel?
It's more than literally nothing, but not quite what I mean. You've got the capability for mass transport, albeit crude, and you've got a reason they're being transported over. Slavery in the U.S. is why you can have black characters in some American period piece and nobody will really care. But if you did the same thing for London your audience is asking, what the frick, why?
Modern travel more refers to how easy it is for masses of people from say Somalia to relatively easily immigrate to a country on the other side of the planet using today's conveniences to completely shift the demographics of an area.
Also consider what the issue is, which is ultra giga diverse societies in these medieval settings. Consider something like the witcher netflix series where every town has more blacks and indians than anything else.
You've already put significantly more thought and care into this hypothetical than any writer or showrunner has. The showrunner for the witcher answered the question of why it's so diverse, and the answer was purely real world political with offense taken that you're not blind to the casting choices.
Because humans are the audience surrogate, moron. Why would fantasy worlds just so happen to always have humans in the first place? Because we want to see ourselves in there.
There is no relevant difference. Look close enough to even white person and the illusion is dispelled and you see humans for the uppity narcissistic apes they are, always trying to pretend they are greater than the other animals yet also falling into the exact same traps and savage behaviors.
take it up with tolkien
he wrote her stubborn, prideful and sometimes furious
now you see show that tries to soften the girlboss accept by giving her some flaws
and all you lot can muster is - but she is old she should not act like that
No, I can't accept that, because in most settings with dragons and elves, the technology for a car doesn't exist, let alone a specific car from the real world.
Also, heated seating has not been optional on any car for at least 20 years. Especially not on a high end BMW.
Name a single franchise where it's specifically stated that people with dark skin cannot exist, that went on to have dark skinned character in one of its installments.
>Name a single franchise
Mistborn. Lord-Ruler spared only specific races, while himself belonging to a slightly tawny one. There are no blacks or asians in the Final Empire.
>Is that... a heckin coloured person in my wizard slop?!? Nooooooooooo, that's just not how that world works. They simply cannot exist in that world because... they just can't, okay?!?!?
It's brings joy to my heart to see demonic screams from people like you when someone resists your agenda. You will never corrupt fantasy with Black folks and sodomites. Original books will forever remain pure.
you do the same thing as women when you pretend your strawman is what the other side is actually saying
my girlfriend has to put words in my mouth in order to “win” our fights (in which she is always wrong and literally knows it)
liberals are women
Putting words into other people's mouths is what this board has always done in order to "win" arguments. If I say something somebody doesn't like, they will quote me with something completely different that I didn't say accompanied by a troonjak or something because that means you magically win.

>73 KB > >Is that... a heckin coloured person in my wizard slop?!? Nooooooooooo, that's just not how that world works. They simply cannot exist in that world because... they just can't, okay?!?!?
How about I just hate Black folk and don't want to see them, is that better?
>I want blacks in fantasy >Cool! We look forward to the new settings you will create >No, I want blacks in fantasy that already exist, like LotR >Sorry, there are no blacks there, just some Arab-looking guys in the East. This is the world's lore >Change lore for me, right now! >No >Racist!
It's a circular problem really. Nobody wants to greenlight something that doesn't have a built in audience of some kind. It's why every fantasy setting is the same old medieval europe rip off over and over again too and nobody does anything else.
Not true. There were interesting settings, even in DnD that is known for being generic. DarkSun, Eberron, Midnight. They were met with indifference, while medieval slop thrived. They had exotic races of all types, but people still push blacks into LotR or A Song of Ice and Fire. It is almost like nobody cares about originality, but some people do care a lot about their political agenda.

This post is too smart for this board.
>Give me an in universe reason why most of the characters are white
>"uhh they walk a lot"
???
>duhhhh why would vast distances between civilizations in a setting with medieval technology mean that regions are ethnically homogeneous?
So you're just a fricking moron? You're the kind of caricature that appears in a strawman comic to show the reader how outlandishly, inhumanly stupid the opposition is. You can't be real, you're such a dumbass it's incredible. Worship of Black folk has rotted your brain.
Imagine an alternate universe where the Kushites ruled Egypt for 1000 years and they sailed trading ships across the Mediterranean.
Were the kushites exclusively shipping Black folk everywhere for a millennium? Weird how real world demographics didn't start looking like Detroit until mass industrialized intercontinental travel for literally anyone was brought about.
Why even buy a BMW?
B58 inline 6
Because humans are the audience surrogate, moron. Why would fantasy worlds just so happen to always have humans in the first place? Because we want to see ourselves in there.
Yeah, ourselves. Humans. Not Black folk.
There is no relevant difference. Look close enough to even white person and the illusion is dispelled and you see humans for the uppity narcissistic apes they are, always trying to pretend they are greater than the other animals yet also falling into the exact same traps and savage behaviors.
crappity flappity snap
Thanks for proving me right with your animalistic baying.
penis butt
>not dark
>not with you at my side
Anyone else kinda started to like it after a while?
Nope. Thousands of years old Galadriel acting like an autistic child is still unwatchable.
take it up with tolkien
he wrote her stubborn, prideful and sometimes furious
now you see show that tries to soften the girlboss accept by giving her some flaws
and all you lot can muster is - but she is old she should not act like that
I saw Lady Galadriel whom Tolkien wrote, in the LOTR movie adaptation. I dont need Amazon's bad fan fiction.
No, I can't accept that, because in most settings with dragons and elves, the technology for a car doesn't exist, let alone a specific car from the real world.
Also, heated seating has not been optional on any car for at least 20 years. Especially not on a high end BMW.
What about Volkswagen? German cars are surely good enough for this racist setting.
Name a single franchise where it's specifically stated that people with dark skin cannot exist, that went on to have dark skinned character in one of its installments.
name a single franchise where it's specifically state that an internal combustion engine cannot exist
>Name a single franchise
Mistborn. Lord-Ruler spared only specific races, while himself belonging to a slightly tawny one. There are no blacks or asians in the Final Empire.
They exist in the africa of said setting. And if it's fantasy they have no way of moving from there
why are you posting a screencap instead of just remaking the post?
Evil cannot create.
>Is that... a heckin coloured person in my wizard slop?!? Nooooooooooo, that's just not how that world works. They simply cannot exist in that world because... they just can't, okay?!?!?
It's brings joy to my heart to see demonic screams from people like you when someone resists your agenda. You will never corrupt fantasy with Black folks and sodomites. Original books will forever remain pure.
They shouldn't exist in this world, either.
>heu heu I'm so edgy
you do the same thing as women when you pretend your strawman is what the other side is actually saying
my girlfriend has to put words in my mouth in order to “win” our fights (in which she is always wrong and literally knows it)
liberals are women
Putting words into other people's mouths is what this board has always done in order to "win" arguments. If I say something somebody doesn't like, they will quote me with something completely different that I didn't say accompanied by a troonjak or something because that means you magically win.
if you think this post makes strawmanning not a fallacy that’s your own admission of guilt
lol like clockwork
Than you can't complain about anime robots in LOTR, moron
Non whites don't belong in european fantasy settings
If one of the characters claim that the setting takes place in Europe you'd have a point.
Not really, it just need to look like Europe, take the Lord of the Rings as an example, it's not Europe but you can clearly see it's based off Europe therefore non whites look out of place in it
As does a great many things.

> >Is that... a heckin coloured person in my wizard slop?!? Nooooooooooo, that's just not how that world works. They simply cannot exist in that world because... they just can't, okay?!?!?
How about I just hate Black folk and don't want to see them, is that better?
GOD WHO CARES IT'S FRICKING STUPID ANYWAY?!
IN THE NAME OF SAINT FLOYD, I DO BESEECH THEE SHEKELSTEIN TO ADD ANOTHER BUCK BROKEN ELF INTO A SHOW ABOUT ROCKS
>I want blacks in fantasy
>Cool! We look forward to the new settings you will create
>No, I want blacks in fantasy that already exist, like LotR
>Sorry, there are no blacks there, just some Arab-looking guys in the East. This is the world's lore
>Change lore for me, right now!
>No
>Racist!
It's a circular problem really. Nobody wants to greenlight something that doesn't have a built in audience of some kind. It's why every fantasy setting is the same old medieval europe rip off over and over again too and nobody does anything else.
Until we can have an all white modern world, nobody will fantasize about living in it.
Are there other cars in the movie or just that one?
too late.
It's called verosimilitude and correct worldbuilding
Um it's called truthlikeness in english buttwipe
Imagine the charge of the rohirrim but instead of knights riding horses they were rednecks driving pickup trucks
According to woketards nothing would change
And instead of them charging into hordes orcs they were driving into hordes of minorities XD
The left can't meme, Jesus Christ
>and thats when i turned them into a 30 year old neckbeard caricature, because i was mad!
I don't get it.
why cant anti white people debunk this one? they always falter
Just an elaborate I AM SILLY meme based around a strawman. The more I see it posted the more convinced I am that it's posted ironically to make fun of anons here.
Black people in fantasy doesn’t bother me but expecting me to care and or making it a bigger deal than it is does
about to be pieced up by Gandzalf
Which scene does the Ork get his cyber gear ripped out by the elf adept? What part of the reawakened world is this taking place in? And where the frick is the decker?
you should try Might and Magic series games lmao.
Credit where it's due, Elder Scrolls has pretty compelling rational for the existence of its different races. Redguards have a pretty distinct culture too
>Me, trying to watch Outer Range season 2
>episode 4 is full blown communist power fantasy about Lesbian Indian Fat b***h Timetravelling and Capping White Men
