I know that it's his thing but making every design revolve around chunky armor with exposed feet really starts making all his characters blend together after a while.
He should do guys differently but think it works for the girls as he at least makes them all feel different. Plus I want more stirrup sock art we need it wish with more humans but alas.
I don't know, I feel like he would benefit from doing different proportions and using more vibrant color schemes from time to time. For example I know of another hand/foot enthusiast artist named badroy, and while there is definitely a difference in art, style, and theme I find his character designs a lot more memorable.
But yeah idk he tends to do that or at least try he's best in his yokai fighter thing those designs are quite unique though they all just become bipedal girls sadly. But I mean just look at the main cast as well. In this other guys cases he's leaning more into exaggerated vibes also wouldn't consider him more memorable looks like any other furgay art lowkey. Like I'll forget it immediately, I think it's more of a mix of everything. See dog Knight inherently has something unique already with the whole armor and vibe so you want to look into it. Was my polite way of saying that. My point though was that I remember those characters and who they are more then I do the cast of dog knight. Yes the art is good and the art style itself is recognizable but I just find it boring. When I think of this comic i don't remember the characters names, faces, or outfits. I just think "oh yeah its the dog feet thing". Nothing stands out besides that. Like
pointed out, when it's just them standing around they feel as generic as any random gacha character. And in the actual little comics he does they're nothing more then the most basic of basic fantasy archetypes doing the basic of fantasy things. I mean I've been seeing and occasionally reading this thing for years and the only character that's ever actually stuck with me was this octopus that's only ever been drawn twice, mainly because she actually breaks the design conventions all his dog people are stuck in. (Also christ just look at the color palette and tell me that you think its helping this scene stand out in any way)
