The spider lady can't lay eggs anymore because of the pollution of her home world, due to the mining colony. So she wants to kidnap all the children.
The assassin was a mother that had her children killed by Imperium, and now she works as an assassin and hitman for hire. She was hired to kill the spider lady.
The story is about two mothers that lost their children being pitted to fight against one another.
It was a decent wienertail of sci-fi tropes and heavy metal / dnd fantasy mythology. Very WH40K fanfic. Overall fairly cliche, nothing especially original but if you like aliens and robots and spaceships and monsters, it's got it all.
What gets me the most is that under the shitty dialogue and abyssmal directing of the actors there was a kernel of an interesting sci-fi flick underneath.
Snyder can't write to save his life who the frick keeps letting him "write" his movies!? He needs a tard-wrangler and a writer that takes the front-seat in mapping out the plot and giving the characters a reason to exist in the film, the concepts aren't bad they're maybe a bit generic but that's fine. Actors were fine on paper but they got NO motivation to actually interact and the dialogue is just laughably spartan in its approach. Could've been a good movie if someone b***h slapped Snyder until he stops trying to write dialogue, he's a storyboard artist and camera dude that's antithetical to any sort of compelling dialogue.

like in the final boss fight where he punches the guy and it has this strong hit sound effect and he like bend backwards from the punch, and you can see she is like 5.5foot with noodle arms and physically wouldn't be able to punch or overpower anyone at all.. it's so cringe
The choreography was really bad for the main chick, a lot of the fight choreo was sloppy and floaty tbh. Wonder if the movie got rushed out or Snyder spent less time on-set to spend more money in post making everything look pretty instead.
