Maybe if you spam this thread for another hundred days the movie will magically stop being a mediocre forgotten piece of shit
>forgotten
Your echo chamber is not the world. Explain its box office.
It's a recognizable brand name kids film shown during Christmas. Yet people will remember the original film long after this one is forgotten.
>recognizable brand name kids film shown during Christmas
The thread is about Wonka, not Aquaman
>made $600 million
>zero cultural relevance
>it's as if nobody watched it
Yeah, I don't get it. I guess it sold more tickets since it is a family film? I watched this movie with my 8-year-old son maybe two weeks ago and I can barely remember anything about it. It was completely inoffensive and forgettable. I preferred Aquaman 2 to this.
imagine saying all this while giving said subjects money.
It deserved a Best Original Song nomination. I didn't even like the movie, but that song was great and I'm stunned that it got snubbed.
So it's barely breaking even? Congratulations I guess
>$600m on a budget of $125 million
>barely breaking even
You fricking, fricking moron.
How much was it supposed to make then, you goalpost-shifting twat? Are you going to suggest it needed to make a billion to start turning a profit?
It needs to make at least six billion just to cover the production budget, and after that there’s the PR campaign costs.
This is $100M gross ago. Now, it's already $30M profit at least. That's purely from theatrical release and not ancillaries and other licensing.
Wow the shills are out tonight
>people liking something means they are a shill
Grow up.
It's hilarious how much this film mindbreaks Cinemaphile because it's actually a quality well-made family film but they don't seem to be able to compute that. Everything is shit.
None of the usual attacks work on it.
>it's woke
No it isn't.
>it's low effort
No it isn't.
>it's cinematically uninteresting
No it isn't.
>it bombed
No it didn't.
You'd think we'd all appreciate a good old fashioned fun movie for a change.
>>it's woke
>No it isn't.
Yes it is, there is a nigress mc in it
>A black person is in it
Shit man Predator is woke
Black person
homosexual
>well there's booze
>and there's booze
>but only one type makes you rant about the israelites
>shills being this transparent
No one will ever mention this movie
Cinemaphile BTFO once again
It deserves it, finally something that lets up on the fricking woke (besides the over representation of Black folks) and focuses on delivering something enjoyable
Although in saying that Aquaman 2 wasn't all that woke either unless you're dumb enough to be a climate change denier, but that had its own issues.
I didn't realize it released
Is it cosy under that rock? If anything this is yet another example of how insulated media is these days, we're all in our own little bubbles. You'll still get anons insistent that nobody cared about Barbie, or that Encanto was a major flop.
i didnt know it released already either. no one who saw gave enough fricks to a thread about it besides this one. admit it, its a mediocre nostalgia fueled cash grab and you got suckered into paying for it.
I didn't know it was a thing until I went to the city with my mother and she suggested we see it.
Crazy how targeted everything is nowdays
I can't believe people actually liked this movie. I couldn't stand it, didn't bother to finish wasting my time on it, and would rather have my toes hammered than sit and watch through it to the end.
