I know this is gonna sound moronic but this scene really captured the feeling of a dream really well. I've had a few reoccurring nightmares and the sinking feeling of realizing you're in the dream and there's nothing you can do to stop it and you know what's going to happen but you have to go through with it anyway

        >I know this is gonna sound moronic
how? that's literally what the scene was invoking

Lynch used to go there for lunch-- until Church of Satan founder Anton Levi and his goons rolled in one day and sat in some booth behind him in the corner and creeped him out. Bonnie Aaron only did an interview on the scene in the past few years: she met Lynch at a party and thought he was a stud; he told her "Give me THE LOOK" frick me eyes lol during the shoot. And there it was.

He's also a huge Wizard of Oz guy. Trash goblin's very much the Wicked Witch of the West there. Diane's apartments were built by OG Walt Disney employees, hence the Snow White thatch roof aesthetic

And the best scene in that would be what? When he's riding the lawnmower?

A lot of great scenes to choose from. But for me, it would be pic related.

      Great choice.

The scene in Wild At Heart when Willem Dafoe says frick me.

Bobby Peru's first scene is also great.

The ending of Inland Empire, though the Locomotion needledrop is up there too. Mister C in TP S3 going to the place above the convencience store to talk to Philipp Jeffries also stuck with me.

This. Made me tear up, such a wholesome moment after two seasons of Coop being the most loveable character, being reduced to that state was rough. When he finally became himself it was a amazing moment

This was extreme kino, especially the way he repurposed the FWWM scene. It felt like the climax of the entire series
