Vanilla Sky is one of my favorite movies, I don't think anybody but Tom Cruise could have had the charisma of the protagonist. Brad Pitt? Christian Bale? Keanu Reeves?
You know, Vanilla Sky really is the one movie I've watched the most times in my entire life, and never once did I really consider who could possibly play that part other than Tom Cruise. But seriously, nothing would work.
It was God. People don't realize that. The entire movie God is playing a role. Jules was entirely right. It was God that saved him. It was God that made Jules shoot the man. That's why Vincent says "i don't know why the gun went off"
Rewatched the scene forgot the most important part. He goes "Do you really think God came down from heaven and" and then he shoots him. It's as clear as day
This. But why? Marvin was Jules' spy. That's all I know. Jules personally recruited Marvin to spy on those guys and help him get the briefcase back.
it's actually in the script that their plan was to get rid of Marvin as he was a loose end. They were probably going to take him somewhere secluded and do it in a cleaner manner though, hence why Jules is more pissed about the car than his hired man being killed.
Oh weird. Like the gun really did go off on accident but he had actually pulled the gun on him with intent to for starters hold him at gun point in who knows maybe just 10 seconds later. Then have him get out of the car etc. Because for starters maybe Marvin was about 5 seconds away from saying hey we don't turn here.
I think the movie clearly establishes that he's not a very competent version. He's a junkie who almost killed his boss's wife and has no trigger discipline. Not to mention how he ultimately died.
Marvin forgot to mention the guy in the other room back at the apartment who almost got Vincent and Jules killed. Vincent shot Marvin on purpose but made it look like an accident.
I like Tom Cruise

Why did you watch it your entire life?
Jules wouldn't know a tasty burger if it bit him on the tip of his fricking dick.
Maybe it was one charming burger?
I haven't had a coca cola in so long
Buy an ad moron nobody wants to buy your shitty product
I have diabetes, anon.
>Do you think the vax causes premature deaths?
>no opinion
>didn't stop the bullet
Anyone see that webm where it happened irl? The plottwist is that it was a woman.
Why did he even have his gun out? Surely he put it away when they left the building? What made him pull it out then and point it at Marvin?
The gun made him feel powerful
He also left his gun on the counter when taking a shit. Probably the world's worst hitman. They should make a movie with this premise.
Because he meant to kill him. It was no accident.

Where in the script was that?

This is simply the answer and it's pretty clear his character was always this way.
>how he ultimately died.
he came back if you keep watching
