Welp seems like Spider-Man didn’t make it to the invincible show. Just some stand for him.

Woah no shit
Anybody wants to take a crack at reanimating the episode with the actual Spidey?
I’m sure somebody will probably do recolor of that knock off to match the Spider-Man costume
It won't make as much sense given that Mark explicitly calls out his suit for having red eyes.
With a bit of vocal splicing he could be refering to his suit
Why are you surprised?
I'm almost positive they make the silhouettes of Not Spider-Man and Not-Doc Ock identical to the real things just to give the fans an opportunity to simply recolor them appropriately.
were the crossover comic really that matter that Amazon adapting instead of dropping it on the get go?
Might be Kirkman trying to convince Marvel to reprint that issue. I think it was in one trade that's been long out of print, and seeing as how people are staring to read the Invincible comic now, he might want people to have an official way to read the crossover.
Is that Josh Keaton?
Yes
Now i wanna see him and young justice's black spider bare knuckle boxing each other to death
I now officially hate this overrated piece of shit. Stop shilling this untalented c**t already.
It's just a fricking parody, and does Amazon really need to be scared of Disney suing them for this? It'll only hurt their public image if they do.
Boys is parody. Invincible is homage.
Parody only works as a defense if you meet the various tests for parody. In this case, you'd fail them all if you used Spider-Man in the same context, because it would be a clear breach of copyright, trademark etc without Disney's permission (and probably to some extent Sony's, despite being animated), because Spider-Man is a huge deal and you'd be trading on that character's popularity as a purely commercial enterprise.
Doing it this way allows the viewer to make a knowing nod when they get the reference without actively infringing anything probably.
They could have just licensed it, but Invincible is being made on the cheap for like low six figures an episode by the world's third largest company by revenue. At this point if you really think they're holding back because they're afraid of Disney, you should probably go drink the kool aid, the one with the poison (the poison for kuzco), because you're dumb as fricking shit and can't be educated.
I hope they do that so WB can sue them for
>Hyperion
>Gladiator
>Sun God
and maybe Sentry who knows
He’s Spider-Man in every way that matters, who cares? Obviously Disney was never going to let them draw Spider-Man. They got your favorite Spider-Man voice and he’s doing Spider-Man shit. That’s Spider-Man.
Since he’s called Agent Spider I’m assuming he’s also a teen super spy
But less in an ultimate Spider-Man way and more in a Totally Spies way with legally distinct versions of Gwen, Mary Jane, and Felicia acting as his teammates
Or he's Richard Parker who is an agent and extremely similar to his son on both looks, inteligence and personality plus also followed his big brother Ben(Uncle Ben) philosophy on being a hero.
That could actually be pretty cool. Gives me the same vibes as the new ultimate comics
I care because I'm terminally autistic, shamelessly egotistical and have deliberately impossible expectations. It's not my fault that I can't just make reality be the way I want by screeching at it. I've been trying so hard to do that.
Don't you feel it would be better if he had the yellow mask too?
I was ready to laugh and ridicularize this shit
but listening to josh keaton voicing spider-man always makes me smile

>making jokes about Spider-Verse
I'd rather it just went away
shut the frick up Black person
The Night Monkey.
i'm so fricking tired of mcu humor
So I’m guessing we can expect no Spawn or Savage Dragon crossover cameos next season when it’s the Invincible War.
Spawn's independent as well as published by image like Invincible, We might still get the crossover.
If we don’t get Spawn, there’s still hope that one of the women who met the mummy could get possessed and become a monster girl mummy themed Spawn expy
Nope, Hickman said word for word Amazon demanded the exclusive animation rights for every single character that appears in the Invincible show, that’s why Hickman himself is picking and choosing what characters appear in the show which he himself owns, that’s the reason given why Science Dog is replaced by a offshoot called Seanse Dog, Hickman feels that character should be free for a potential future project not necessarily done by Amazon.
Spawn, Savage Dragon, or any other Image character won’t appear unless Todd or Larsen, or anyone else agrees with being in Amazon jail.
jesus. I kind of feel bad for the show then, it just not should've been made under these conditions. Invincible had a LOT of cameos, including many characters who first came from Brit (including Cecil, Cecils predecessor who made Rex Splode, Donald, Ms Popper and Brit himself), plus there's Capes Inc. characters who either make cameos in Invincible or get rolled into the cast as Guardians of the Globe / Invincible Universe, some of whom are just expys (Kid Thor) but others are genuinely good (Best Tiger is awesome every time he appears). Then there is Astounding Wolf-man and Dynamo 5 who will then not appear either (one of Invincibles bad guys becomes a member of Dynamo 5 I think?).
plus the upcoming Invincible War was a huge parade of cameos including nearly every big Image hero - Spawn, Savage Dragon, Youngblood, etc.
>plus the upcoming Invincible War was a huge parade of cameos including nearly every big Image hero - Spawn, Savage Dragon, Youngblood, etc.
This is the big problem: Invincible War gets so much mileage of being EVERY hero on that Earth trying to fight off the Invincibles, but that will mean so much less if they're replaced with generic stand-ins that have never been developed and won't mean anything to this wider audience compared to the Image fans who read the original comic.
And yet Batman can be in it if we just see his cape and boots?
yes, that's how parody works.
>Amazon demanded the exclusive animation rights for every single character that appears in the Invincible show
Well that is so fricking gay but hey that's Jeff Bezos, at least it makes me feel good for the Amazon Fallout show, that will be Bezos own pile of horseshit only he gets to play with and will see no reference or adaptation outside the garbage tv show.
I was really hoping to see Spawn and Johnny Estacado.
>I was really hoping to see Spawn and Johnny Estacado.
Insert wojack image here. You're pathetic.
You took the gay comment personally, didn't you fruity?
What about the crossover with The Tick?
Now that's what I'm talking about.
And Keith David is always down for voice acting.
Grey Fox?
>Not the BROWN window
sleeping
This anon gets it.
Modern superheroes existing in Venture Bros makes no fricking sense.
It's like how comics about scientists and adventurers exist in superhero universes, but from our perspective we usually think of them as superhero universes because they're more prominent. In VB's case most of what we see is outside the superhero's perspective and more on the science adventurer side.
That is a b***h cop out, and you know it. The show billed itself as a pulp send up, and then added capeshit later out of sheer laziness. Disgusting.
the show quickly lost being a strict Jonny Quest riff early on, and the Monarch was always closer to capeshit than anything in pulp. Really most of the villains were more capeshit esque instead of pulp.
>modern
1962 was 120 years ago anon.
Monarch was there from season 1, seethe more.
Why didn't they just cut it? This is just a weird artifact now.
Josh Keaton really is the go to for bootleg Spider-men.
and regular spider-man
It has been a while since he voiced THE Spider-Man though, he is invited to several Spider-Man titles to voice some other character in later years so Keaton knows he isn’t a priority to voice Peter these days so might as well accept the roles for any offshoot character just for fun.
didn't know myles was in young justice
>myles
saar
>antebellum accent
Where can i watch episode 8? It hasnt come out yet on my streams.
They Revenge of Shinobi'd him.
Good. Crossovers are shit, and corporate shills being denied their moronic fanfic fantasies is always a good thing.
Of course wasn't going to happen, it's probably gonna be the same with the spawn cameo
In b4 that dumb Egypt mummy nonsense ends up leading to some rando evil Invincible dying
Voice credit on pause calls him AGENT SPIDER
I didn't read the comic but did Angstrom Levy get dealt with just as quick there as well? Or is this supposed to be a fake out where he's not actually dead? Because holy shit his whole thing felt built up for nothing.
I believe he's still alive based on this spoiler from the comics
yeah he'll come back later for a round 2
Invincible War
>Or is this supposed to be a fake out where he's not actually dead?
Did you see the body, anon? This is not a show that shies away from showing gore, but for THIS we get a discretion shot before Mark walks off to have a freak out and never looks back. Think about it.
Why isn't his name "Agent Arachnid"?
I love how ever since SSM, every time somebody needs a voice for a spider-themed character in a cartoon (that isn't Ultimate Spider-Man), they get Keaton to do it.
They use Yuri Lowenthal a lot too
"legally distinct spoderman"
I'd say it's even better than if it was the original
Also, I can't stand multiverse anymore, I can forgive Invincible because it's an old favourite and for me the last good thing with multiverses is oficcialy Everything All at Once, but besides that if I even feel a whiff of multiverse bullshit on new things I drop it.
Imagine Y or Cross with multiverse
I like how spider dude obviously tried to save Mark since he came back through the portal with webbing on his back. Its the little things
I....Actually don't hate the suit. The name though? Definitely needs work
The harness is a bit much, but the underlying suit is fine.
it's just a rip off of Gray Fox from Metal Gear.
Metal Gear?
Mark, Debbie and Omniman got a black eye on the same day on the same right eye.
This show is taking way too much time covering normal side characters, which is funny, because I remember feeling that Mark gets too alienated from his humanity in the comic.
Invincible is a comic where Mark gets horribly traumatized over and over again. It felt like it kinda came all at once in S2 here, maybe the split up season was part of it.
My thoughts as a non-comic reader
>It actively bothered me when kate died that she didn't have a copy somewhere, so I'm glad that's resolved
>I know 100% that an angstrom will come back in the story later on, but I don't know if the big brain one actually died or not
>I assume omniman and allen will escape soon, like next episode soon
>thank god they finally seem to be making robot stop simping as hard
>mark is moronic for caring so much about killing the guy
>I'm surprised the mauler's weren't even brought up since the start of the season, since as far as mark knows they're responsible for angstrom
>please for the love of god don't make an Eve Mark will they won't they last for more than the first two episodes next season.
>robot simp
I kind of get it; ignoring that MG is sorta robot's only hope of scoring a love life at the moment, he's still too socially fricked up to want to keep misstepping with her, and she doesn't exactly make communication easy. It was a good scene for both of them, he took a calmer approach to actually communicate his desire to help her, and she heard him out and didn't deflect his concerns while making her own issues more clearly understood. Despite everything Robot is probably my favorite character, and I like him and Monster Girl, so I'm glad the show is (hopefully) moving beyond their not-exactly-teen drama.
>caring so much about killing a guy
I can't say I 100% recall the comics but I wanna say the show is placing WAY more pressure on the "I don't wanna be my dad awahh ;-;" shit. It especially feels weird now that he's re-seen his dad and knows he's at least a somewhat better person and not just a moustache twirler. That said, this is Mark's first time actually killing someone, and it as he went over it was both not what he expected to happen but not a result he could really back out of. His torment over it was in the comics too, and something I appreciated. I actually was sorta impatiently waiting for him to react to it, he spent a good while just kinda breathing heavy and looking around before he started coping.
>Maulers
I don't think anyone knows they're even still alive, but given the circumstances Mark wasn't really going to lay down the play by play of what happened to Levy, nor would it likely have helped.
The entire season has been about Mark fighting for control over his life. Killing Angstrom was akin to showing he had no control over his self or actions and he was forced into a decision that was not of his own. Mark wants to be a hero that can save everyone but he is unable to make the hard decisions that will allow that to happen and for that he suffers. He regrets it because he believed Angstrom was a good guy at one point and that he let his rage get the best of him. Maybe he'll learn that being a hero is bullshit.
Indeed.
what was going on in the egypt scene. There was also a recap of it in a previous episode but I don't remember that whatsoever
The circle will be complete when they put him in the next spider-verse movie
They’ve already modded him into Insomniac-Man
i actually think the knock off spider-man makes it better
