Why did they screen an upcoming movie at some university without expecting people to spoil things? Anyway, I'll just wait for reviews to come out first, though I have no hopes for this
what is with people who see early screenings always going on reddit and giving the most vague answers? When I saw Puss in Boots 2 and Ruby Gillman a few weeks in advance I went straight here and gave a full plot synopsis
Chances are it's because they didn't watch the movie in full or heard about it from a friend. There's a New York screening coming up soon (I think it's today at AMC) so we may get another summary.
>Tai Lung was the only thing anyone gave a shit about.
The mermaid was the only thing people gave a shit about from Ruby Gilman and that got full spoilers for the plot. Why not KFP4?
There was indeed a screening at UCLA, but we don't know if this guy's legit or just took advantage of this knowledge to lie online.
Another leaker also said Zhen is not the dragon warrior by the end, so someone isn't telling the truth between the two.
Well his original post on reddit was basically 10 minutes after the movie ended.
He posted at 8:46 pm on the 21st, KFP4 runtime is 1hr 34minutes and the showing was at 7pm. So I'm more willing to believe this guy since he goes to the university hosting the showing.
That's some quick math. Yeah maybe, though what he says doesn't quite reflect what some info of the movie comes out, like the press saying he believes he was right about Po, that he has a relevant part to play in the movie, and other stuff. Even if he's right he may be misrepresenting the movie, like folks did with Ruby Gilman.
>press saying he believes he was right about Po
The doc said he thought Oogway made a mistake. After Po beats Chameleon, he admits Oogway was right. It syncs up fine.
The only thing that doesn't match up is the co-director saying something about his relationship with Shifu being important, and that could've just been bullshit or a mistake on her part.
There's also that spoiler music track that leaked signaling a certain character's death, something no other leaker has talked about, despite that being a HUGE thing to add to this movie.
That track could've been bullshit, though. It sounds good but there's no proof it's real. The production document also implies that Shifu lives to see Po's successor.
Additionally this dude would have to be the most elaborate deep-cover troll ever to be fake, given

See 0:28 at this vid. You can see all the dead masters preparing to return to the spirit realm, including Kai. It's ogre.
Additionally, that means Po is now stronger than someone who absorbed all those masters, so how are there any stakes to this franchise anymore?

>that means Po is now stronger than someone who absorbed all those masters, so how are there any stakes to this franchise anymore?
We don't know the context of the movie so don't overreact over that. He's probably just returning what was stolen from them by the Chameleon and not keeping any of it.

I dunno, man. It still means that Po beat someone who beat all those masters. Po is so OP now that nothing can stop him.
Not to mention, having Tai Lung just show up and frick off would be the safe boring Hollywood option, so it's probably what they went with. Additionally it's not like they're gonna keep Kai around.

With the new featurette its more likely he may be saying the truth, but he could also be misconstructing the truth with his vague comments. All he says is he doesn't like that Tai Lung doesn't do much and is "nicer", he doesn't expand on what exactly he does or say. Clearly he'll get more than just saying Po is worthy and fricks off, stuff that he glossed over because his distaste of the movie made him not care about details from the film. But we may have a different experience when seeing the film.
I'm sure there could be many ways to describe The Last Wish as terrible as possible with leaks and look how that turned out.

We know for sure that all three of the old villains have been brought back just to job and spend most of their screentime in cages, how good could it be?

As long as Chameleon works as a villain, that's fine.
And from those three villains, one's one-on-one kung fu isn't that great, and the other was evaporated into nothingness, so he's lucky enough to be in a cage.

He gets a cool fight with Chameleon and her minions. He may get defeated, but he fights. He's there to settle the hatchet with Po, which is emotional growth, the real thing that's important in this franchise. So he's both cool in fights and grows as a character, it's a win-win. Needing your faves to win every fight is a sad weeb cope.

It proves what fans of Tai Lung have wanted for years, that he did have a heart in him after all, and was able to learn his lesson. People sympathized with him and now get to see the side of him they knew was there all along in the new film. That's not "nothing".
Nothing would be bringing him back, he's still evil and angry, and there's nothing new added to the character whatsoever.

Why would someone compose a very convincing Hans Zimmer score combining Shifu's theme and Oogway's theme just to fool people? That much effort for a movie that most people don't know is releasing in 2 weeks? Keep in mind no leaker so far has confirmed how the movie ends.
It'd actually be beyond kino if they got JK Simmons and Gary Oldman for a short farewell to Po (they can record it via phone and get a quick check for it) but chances are they'll be silent cameos. Same for the Five probably.
A while ago I predicted Zhen would stay in her city instead of being a dragon warrior and some shots in the trailer seem to imply that. She's in the pig's restaurant eating bountiful food and being happy, which might happen at the end of the movie after Chameleon is defeated. We see in the same trailer the pig and her gang being angry and attacking her, so clearly that changes by the end of the film, they wouldn't serve her food before that. So she becomes the hero of her city rather than the village.
Perhaps that means Po changes the dragon warrior rule and assigns more than one dragon warrior. The main theme seems to be accepting change, with Chameleon, Shifu and Peng talking to Po about change on trailers. Seems like it could happen.
Either way, I believe the old leaker had some sort of reliable info as he predicted Zhen and Chameleon being related before any major info was released.
Its fake. The ending is this anon basing it off a storyboard that was leaked, but that's obviously not a scene of the movie, more a first pass to test the character's personalities or part of studies for the plot of the movie. This board artist, Tomiko, has done a lot of work for Dreamworks that's not in the final movie, staying entirely in concept art. Also, it's not called Harbor City, it's Juniper City.
That said a lot of other things do fall in line with what's in the movie, so best case scenario this anon saw a previous version of the movie that's not reflective of the final film
>That said a lot of other things do fall in line with what's in the movie, so best case scenario this anon saw a previous version of the movie that's not reflective of the final film
I think that's what happened here. There's some accurate parts in the leak that weren't known before
I think at least half of it is credible. He heard this info from a friend at a test screening so it's a lot of "he said/she said". Plus, some stuff may be cut from the movie. But in between it all there is legit stuff that's in the movie.
