World's Mightiest Heroes was better than Justice League. More love was spread around there than JLI where it was obvious the writers only cared about Batman.

World's Mightiest Heroes was just alright. I just couldn't get into it as an adult. Would have loved it if it were on Fox Kids in the 90s though.

Better than the first season of JL? Yes. The other seasons? No.
      >More love was spread around there than JLI where it was obvious the writers only cared about Batman.
Of the 39 episodes of JLU, Batman was only in 18. Superman was in 20, John Stewart and J'onn J'onzz were also in 18, Wonder Woman was in 17, Luthor and Flash were in 13, Hawkgirl in 11, Green Arrow and Waller in 9. They had their favorites, but it wasn't the Batman show.

Oh, frick off. It's not like they have any competition at the moment. I'm glad you like it, but don't exaggerate the quality of this show.

I think the quality for X-Men has always been there, even if it looked like a vehicle to sell toys/the Marvel brand. They certainly learned to copy off the best parts of BTAS in the later seasons.

That's just fricking wrong. Batman, superman and batman beyond have so many more banger episodes than spider-chad's show and feel more like a god damn masterpiece.

Spidey's show has weird funky editing and makes it hard to soak in the hard-hitting moments.

Spider-Man TAS didn't get really good until season 3.
Season 1 has some good episodes, but is mostly "meh". Same for
    >muh Neogenic Nightmare
It's like all people remember are few bits of body horror and X-Men crossover (maybe Kraven redemption arc and his fight with Punisher, but it seems like I'm the only one who ever brings that up) and forget how dull literally everything else in that season was.
I don't care about Morbius and I most certainly don't care about Silvermane and Tablet of Time.

Tomorrowverse is an embarrassment, but let's be honest. The last few movies before the reset were kinda meh at times and the latter seasons of Young Justice were terrible.

DC had a staple of putting out decent enough animated movies, but the nu52 era botched it hard, then the Tommorrow-verse started good enough but somehow did a botch speedrun and rushed things to hell, now DC animation exist in a weird limbo where they even have a fricking Batman cartoon just sitting and they can't even release it because WB are being stupid.

I wonder if Marvel Animation will try to make animated movies again, Planet Hulk was pretty good and Hulk VS was fun as hell, I hope they bring those back now when X-men 97 is a proven success and that they are willing to go for more violent and mature stuff.

HIGHLY depends on how well the new Spiderman show they have coming out this year does. If it bombs, they'll pivot, but if it does decently they aren't going to axe that entire production.

Also, if 97 is good because the person leading it had a strong vision and knew what worked, that might not be the case on spiderman. So you're more than likely going to get something mid at best.

97 feels like lightning in a bottle.

What matters is the crew, not the company. Timm and company aged out of talent and DC didn't get any suitable replacements. Marvel struck gold with DeMayo and then they fired him so who knows how season three will turn out.

The only times DC had good animated content was during the BTAS era and with a couple of good animated movies at the beginning of the last decade.
Otherwise it was always pretty shitty, nothing too weird about it.
Really good content was scarce from both companies, but Marvel rarely fricked up a Spider-Man or X-Men cartoon.

DC had the Timm and Pals shows (Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, Justtice League, JLU), the Murakami show (Teen Titans), the Tucker shows (Legion of Superheroes, The Brave and the Bold), the Burnett/Krieg/Lukic show (Justice League Action). The Capizzi show (The Batman) the Weisman show (Young Justice) and the Faust show (DC Super Hero Girls) also had their fans.
      >Marvel rarely fricked up a Spider-Man or X-Men cartoon.
All of those cartoons have problems the DC shows don't have with the exception of Spectacular Spider-man which only got two seasons. Earth Mightiest Heroes was pretty good, but they cancelled it for a movie synergy cartoon. That's like two cartoons compared to 12 up above.
