I've also heard they don't like the title of Turning Red, which is Watashi Wa Tokidoki Ressa Panda which is Sometimes I'm a Red Panda.
I'm not a nip, but Nibunnoichi no Mahou ("Half Magic") is a much better title than Onward. They get it right every now and then.
I also heard they don't like this title because they think it sounds immature.

I like translated signs personally. If they're in the original language of the film, they were meant to be read. I think it's fair if they don't bother with something that minor though.
I think signs should be in the subtitles... that's how goes when I watched the Miyazaki movie the boy and the heron
they hate the signs because the fonts are super generic and translation is often clunky like turning "my hero" in wreck it ralph into ”私のヒーロー" in the most basic MS Word font possible.

Norwegian here, this pisses me the frick off too. What's even the point, just use normal subtitles and give people the option of reading the original English text if they want.
The Star Wars crawl text is translated into my language in Disney Plus even if I switch everything into english, it happens even in Ahsoka IIRC. I hate this.
that's some horseshit. On the other hand I can watch things in like 30 different languages depending on the release so whose to say.
I've also noticed the dubs into foreign languages aren't the same as the subtitles.

No, it's because broccoli is not a stock yucky vegetable in Japan. But bell peppers are considered an acquired taste.

Bell peppers are the stereotypical "vegetable kids don't like" in Japan, while broccoli is a fairly common side dish everyone likes. It's just autistically "translating" the scene into a local stereotype.
