It requires book knowledge to make any sense of why they're showing certain scenes due to them feeling so out of place, and then they completely shit on the book aspect of it that made it so important.
Kind of gave up on the books after like the 5th one or so. Rand was a moronic mary sue, literally every female character aside from Morraine was moronic and insufferable and felt like there was a lot of random filler plots and the romances seemed like they popped up out of nowhere.

I remember getting into the books through constant shilling about how epic this fantasy series is. When I read it it was the most boring shit imaginable.
Everyone is a gigamoron because the author is moronic. All fantasy elements are lifted from irl concepts all over the world in the worst way. Imagine making a stew, but you put everything in it. Whole cans of mustard, ketchup, garlic with the skin on, sausage, fish,hot sauce, sugar until it becomes an uneatable mess. That's what the Wheel of Time series is in essence.
At least Eragon author Paolinini had the foresight to actually constrain himself to 4 books and finish his series while Waste of Time spends about 8 books dronign on about irrelevant garbage.
It's no suprise the TV show turns out to be utter garbage when the books aren't any better.
