I can't think of anybody in the animation industry who's particularly radical, unless you consider being pro-lgbt or voting for trump as your baseline for radical. Pretty much all animators I can think of are either vocal liberals, or don't express strong opinion on politics. I think Brad Bird might be a libertarian or something? It's just not a very good idea.
Your task is difficult, because western media is more by committee than by creator. Like, for simpsons, you'd put Groening, I guess. But across other creations, Groening doesn't follow the same ideals exactly.
