What 90s cartoons probably wouldn't make it on TV if they were pitched for the first time in this day and age?

Probably not most of them
I think Rolie Polie Olie could get on the air if it was made today. That show aims super young. I know that technically is more of a 2000s cartoon, but people tend to call cartoons that began in the 90s to be 90s cartoons, even if they lasted longer in the 2000s
Just r63 Bravo and it be fine.
tw ableism
98% of the good ones, too many sharp angles and characters not being hyper considerate of each other's feelings and not enough lolsorandom humor or brown female/lgbtbbq+infinity lead protagonists.
I'd give everything i have now to turn back 25 years.
>98% of the good ones
Would Arthur be considered part of the 2% of good that would be made today?
Yes.
sigh
I feel like there are a lot of shows, especially post-South Park, that feature friend groups who are a bit more mean-spirited towards one another that might be made today but the dynamics would be all different. Ed, Edd, and Eddy comes to mind, and 3 Friends and Jerry, even ATLA. I think this is realistic but sometimes it feels like modern shows are obsessed with making friend groups overly positive and family-like support systems where the characters are all just NICE to one another.
Like compare Ladybug to Sailor Moon. I know Sailor Moon is an anime but those girls rift on each other non-stop, moreso in the dub. Ladybug's friendgroup is in comparison bland and uninteresting. They 're just nice to one another. That's a boring dynamic, real friends can comfortable tease each other.
Also speaking of 3 Friends and Jerry:

This is a pathetic boring thread. Why did you post this?!
I'm changing it to something a tiny bit more unique and actually a little bit fun and you might even have to use your brain:
>How would you change modern shows to be able to get greenlit if you went back in time to the 90s and had to pitch them.
You can chose any show you want. Just make it so it could air back in the day.
That's just moronic, let's go back to the main topic
No you're just moronic. Stop playing you know I'm right you troll.
Go make your own thread
Why would I do that? Are you dumb or new?
It's funny to think Nick was originally the edgy cartoon channel. I feel like at some point Nicktoons became really safe compared to Cartoon Network's output.
They had two breakout hits: Ren & Stimpy and Rugrats. John K was such a pain the ass with R&S that they ended up firing him, whereas Klasky Csupo abandoned their experimental approach to animation and settled on a safe, inoffensive style for tween girls.
>Klasky Csupo abandoned their experimental approach to animation and settled on a safe, inoffensive style for tween girls.
A tragedy if ever there was one
Even if John K didn't molested those girls, ren and stimpy is the complete opposite of everything that define modern shows
Every single one
Courage because it would be too analog horror esque
hey arnold.
from jump they'd try to push and make episodes about trannies, being gay, and racism.
Do you think modern Hey Arnold would be able to be more upfront about Miriam's alcoholism?
Chances are they'd force the writers to retcon the booze into being protein shakes or something and saying she had some kinda disorder.
they'd make Bob the alcoholic.
All of them
If it doesn't have a quirky lesbian brown girl main character it's over
>show is about an egocentric guy who constantly fails to get dates
>there are also talking animals, talking toys, vampires, werewolves, butthole clowns, superheroes, dinosaurs, celebrities, Hanna Barbera characters
WTF
What's wrong with JB? If anything, it was ahead of it's time for having a man constantly get humiliated for being too forward and chauvinistic
