I was druk the other night and my mom pocket dialed me around midnight. I answered but she couldn’t hear me. I heard what sounded like a doctor or nurse informing her she has an ulcer. I hung up after listening to the whole conversation and had another drink. I called her the next day but she didn’t mention anything when I asked if everything was ok.
Yeah I checked my call history next day to make sure I didn’t dream or hallucinate. It was very surreal. I’ve witnessed her call people through her pocket before. I don’t want to invade her privacy as she’s a very private person and proud. She’s been drinking daily since she retired about 15 years ago.
I'd say sit tight until you hear anything concrete, don't push it. But if you're concerned, do try and look after her in general. Unless you're a doctor yourself she probably won't listen until it comes to decision time and there's a serious choice to be made.

Me too, used to drink beer, then spirits, then beer but now I'm onto wine and I think it's the perfect balance. It's drinkable like beer but doesn't bloat you, and hits much harder.
I could never drink beer. The taste is so disgusting I have to take breaks between each sip and it takes forever to get drunk because of the low alcohol content.
Liquor I'm just too much of a pussy to consume unmixed.
Wine for me has the perfect amount of alcohol content and the sour taste makes it go down easy. Plus there are so many different wines to choose from to give you some novelty each time.

What should I drink, bros? I'm thinking about making some wienertail or mixed drink with 3+ ingredients. I'll probably only have two before getting lazy and start drinking vodka, but I want to do something special.

I used to make for myself three drinks for my birthday. First a couple of micheladas, for the afternoon an old fashioned, and a white Russian before dinner. Oh and happy birthday anon, hope you have a good one.

You're at higher risk of alcoholism if you do start drinking this late in life. Just be mindful of that if you ever try it.

Me too, used to drink beer, then spirits, then beer but now I'm onto wine and I think it's the perfect balance. It's drinkable like beer but doesn't bloat you, and hits much harder.
I could never drink beer. The taste is so disgusting I have to take breaks between each sip and it takes forever to get drunk because of the low alcohol content.
Liquor I'm just too much of a pussy to consume unmixed.
Wine for me has the perfect amount of alcohol content and the sour taste makes it go down easy. Plus there are so many different wines to choose from to give you some novelty each time.
I'm only worried because someone mentioned the sulfites and tannins and whatever in it are bad for you.
