The core wanted her killed and then revived so that they could possess her easily. The core didn’t want her awake when that happened but Olivia and Yunan messed that up.
This only happened in order to make it easier for her friends to forgive her.

True Colors by itself is a good episode but it raised the stakes to such an extent that the show couldn’t provide an adequate follow up.
