It shows that Seinfeld can write a reasonably good script without the help of Larry David.

      Good, I think that's a great achievement.

I don't think it's reasonably good. It's unfocused and meandering. It's more a collection of jokes than a story (in which case it shouldn't pretend to have much of a story)

The tangents make it work, though. Airplane is a collection of jokes stretched over an old plot, but it's the most enjoyable comedy of all time simply because it's just that. You need the story to exist and be somewhat explained in the plot, because if it's just in the script you end up with stuff like Casino Royale '67, which makes perfect sense until you're only watching the film.

Still not as good as Antz, but I see your point.

Bee Movie is easily better than both. Able to rewatch it again and again.

Agreed. I haven't even seen Bugs Life again since maybe the late 2000s and I haven't watched Antz since even earlier than that.

That was visually stunning, I will agree. Seems DW got used to working with Hewlett Packards around that time.

Warburton's character was entertaining and easily the best part of the movie.

eh that's cheating though. Warburton is almost always the highlight of every animated role he plays.

The courtroom scenes were funny and is one of the most hilarious things dreamworks has done. It’s not like I ever hated this movie, but it definitely improves as an adult when viewed as a cinematic shitpost.

    >So, anyway, what are you gonna do, Barry?
    >About work? I don't know. I want to do my part for the hive, but I, I can't do it the way they want
    >I know how you feel
    >You do?
    >Sure. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer or a doctor, but I wanted to be a florist
    >Really?
    >My only interest is flowers.
    >Our new queen was just elected with that same campaign slogan
    >Oh. Huh
I like Barry and Vanessa's relationship

It's weirdly liked ironically, thanks to a transcript of the film reaching copypasta status. (Typos, and all.)

    >Check out my new resume. I made it into a fold-out brochure. See? Folds out. It's got all my special skills. It's even got my top 10 favorite movies
    >What's your number one? Star Wars?
    >Nah, i don't go for that (makes shooting noises while doing finger gestures) kind of stuff

    >When i walk out of a job interview, they're flaggergasted. They can't believe the things i say

    >I gotta tell you. I predicted global warming. I could feel it getting hotter. At first i thought it was just me

    >Vanessa, next week? Yogurt night?
    >Sure, Ken. You know, whatever
    >You could put carob chips on there. Supposed to be less calories or something

    >Ken, Barry was looking at your resume, and he agreed with me that eating with chopsticks isn't really a special skill
Vanessa did the right thing in dumping Ken

It's a genuinely enjoyable movie, even if it goes on a weird tangent. It also is a solid pre-graduation movie for the first half before it pivots to being a legal film with adventure aspects at the tail end. Solid movie about both the negatives and positives of collectivity and individualism. Also, very funny movie.

When you are a kid, your standard for things that entertain you are quite literally a dice roll. Some kids liked this, some didn't. I was one of the ones that liked it. I just thought it was a good, funny movie. Another one and the same vein was "Everyone's Hero", which I'm sure about 0 people on here have seen, and I remember pissing my pants every time watching it cause I was laughing so damn hard. For Bee Movie, I liked the characters, the plot, the dialogue, the jokes, the one liners, the gags. Everything
