Out of all scifi shows I've consumed this one had some of the funniest shit I've seen. That said I watched all 88 episodes and can't remember many of them so some must've been bad/mid.
It falls off a bit near the end because RDM wrote himself into a corner and to this day people still seethe about the ending, but when it's good, it's REALLY fricking good, and it's really fricking good a lot of the time.
It explores many deep and meaningful themes using engaging, thrilling scifi set dressing.
It isn't as entertaining as farscape, but it is more pensive and fulfilling
