tbf we can observe black holes distort light, which implies distorting time and space. But to harness that energy/power is a whole nother thousand years of technology.

the backstory doesn't make any sense. Wtf was the purpose of their mission ? hint: there was no purpose to it.

Wasn't the ftl ship doing a test jump somewhere and back to gauge the technology. Then they sos'd or were dead and the rescue ship was sent to investigate. Doesn't seem to me the plot was that moronic.

They were testing a "warp drive jump". They wanted to make it into 40k canon. I don't think it ever happened however.
More or less it jumped into a part of the universe which is chaos. Not a location however. It's below our dimension.
In 40 k the warp is below, the webb way is above. Dead souls get collected down

        >They wanted to make it into 40k canon. I don't think it ever happened however
frick off with that shit. this movie was made as a stand alone space horror flick. "They" weren't trying to make a 40k movie.
Really the fact that the movie could be a 40k prequel is just a testament to how generic 40k is.

this is what happens when you travel in warp space without a geller field!!!!!!! the hell dimension is actually chaos and the ship is possessed by a chaos demon!!!

It's not official, but it could easily be a Warhammer 40k prequel.

A half-assed hodgepodge of large budget, and B-script work in the genres of horror and sci-fi. If you’re an aficionado of either genre, you’ve likely seen every scene done better elsewhere and the fricking meat grinder hallway never actually gets used - seriously, no one ever gets shredded in that thing.

Watch Alien and the original Hellraiser instead.
