His self obsessed I'm so cool mannerisms that his capeshit fans find so enchanting and amazing. Same thing as Johnny Depp pretending to be Hunter Thompson all the time.

The Dark Knight is not objectively great. I rewatched it recently and I can't believe all the plot holes. That bank robbery scene is atrocious.

              >joker standing in the middle of the street in full make up waiting for his accomplices to pick him up
              >him organizing the robbery without anyone seeing him
              >bus somehow had the time and space to back its way through a bank during a busy day
              >even if it did, the joker knew the exact second the bus will hit
              >Joker pulling out into traffic after completing the heist and casually merging into a line of moving school buses while police passes by him (no kids or drivers saw the bus just merge in front of them)

Keep in mind this is the first 5 minutes of the film.

The first two are literally non-issues. A guy in clown make up is the least of your concern if you live in an urban shithole like Gotham, and he could have scouted the place beforehand with his face washed.
The bus stuff is moronic tho, but in a funny way. Him knowing when the bus hits is basic superhero stuff

                >A guy in clown make up is the least of your concern if you live in an urban shithole like Gotham

He is a wanted criminal in Gotham and there are regular patrols in big cities.

                >he could have scouted the place beforehand with his face washed
He puts on the mask before entering the car and when he takes of the mask in bank, he has his make up on.

Well, it's obvious he planned the heist before the first scene. One doesn't plan a heist 10 minutes before it, he would have needed plans to know when and where to strike, hire the other robbers and so on. That's when he would have organized the robbery

Nolan has an autistic obsession with making everything over dramatic while at the same time often making smaller mistakes when it comes to directing actors which lends it self to mockery

and people, to this day, defend that lazy writing, when used in combination with the and cheapest at the same time worst solution: time travel. They often say "in a world with space aliens, duh", but at that point Thanos would be like "wait, why didn't I think of time travel?" Not to say I am pretty sure he has the technology. Not to mention all this crammed in a couple of mins- half assed acting scene. Zero tension. Zero stakes. Nothing.
