don't watch that shit. It's terrible, I basically hate watched it to the end. A mystery show that doesn't solve its mysteries. Or a romance show that has 95% filler episodes, and ultimately ends with a mystery.
but the mystery and leap of faith stuff is the whole point of The Leftovers though isn't it? I never gave it much thought but I watched it during covid and quite enjoyed it as well as the ending. Any real answers they gave would have ruined the show imo.
kek your inability to come to terms with someone enjoying something you didn't is your problem anon.
While you were watching the show, what did you think the payoff would be? I watched it right after Lost so my expectations were tempered by that shows finale.
>kek your inability to come to terms with someone enjoying something you didn't is your problem anon.
This coming from the stupid normie who thinks writers should never explain what the frick their premises are supposed to be about? I think you would've loved Lost, Rabbi.
i understand not giving a reason for the rapture. That's the whole point of the story. But that's not the only mystery that's coming the viewers way. My mate recommended it to me. I finished it, there's a couple of really cool episodes in it. But overall as a story from start to finish I found it quite lacklustre. A lot of the characters in the show had no real purpose to the show as a whole. The kids served no purpose for example. The new characters from season 2 i found completely uninteresting. I also found the season finales from season 1 and 2 to be very forced. It never came to a natural conclusion. Season 1: oh how do we get the daughter in a building we're about to burn. Season 2 how do we get antagonist and son to the other side of the US of A. Those finales left me with so many questions, but they just moved on like no explanation required. i found it wholly unsatisfactory. Season 3 is certainly better, but really it stands on its own.
I can agree with some of these points, in particular the season transitions being so jarring which I also thought was strange. I thought the introduction to Jarden in season 2 made up for the awkward s1 finale since it was such an interesting setting, but it also introduced some of the most frustrating characters in the series (Evie, never really understood what was going on with her).
Extra characters sometimes having no real purpose is a Lindelof trait so I somewhat accept it.
PUSHING DAISIES (TV Show 2007-2009)
Starring Lee Pace and he can kill people and bring them back to life.
His girlfriend dies, but he brings her back
They can never touch again

You got filtered bro, the theme is belief and it applies to you as a viewer as well in regards to the mystery the same way it does to the characters.
