you have just picked those out randomly
And not only that; he managed to pick 3 very unspooky episodes and one of the comedic episodes.
When I was a kid I thought this was a documentary.
That they were using leaked fbi files. So for me, they were all scary
Some episodes are based on leaks. I saw an interview with the FBI agent responsible for what the X-files based episode 1 or 2 on. He hoped to technically keep his NDA by refusing to specify the episode exactly. The episode got him in trouble because the FBI beloved he was the leaker.
>Relying on pop culture media to call out the israelite
homie you dumb
it's a smokescreen
>smoking man
Is he really never named throughout the whole show?
He at least has an alias, but I can't remember it
You can't name the CIA spook who killed JFK.
>In the eleventh season, he reveals his full name to be Carl Gerhard Busch.
>Carl Gerhard Busch
>Busch
>mfw it's unironically a 'Bush Sr. did JFK' reference
absolute kinography
C.G.B. Spender
>s6e21 - Field Trip
>"Mulder and Scully, trapped underground by a giant mushroom."
Excellent choice.
Die hand die verletzt, for me.
>s6
What?
It had some good ones
1-5 perfect
6 is... ok
7 is bad
8 is unwatchable
i never made it past 8
>i never made it past 8
You didn't miss anything.
I thought 8 was better than 7 though, t b h
i kinda agree
7 was "new x files" but it was trying to still be old x files
8 was like yeah nah this is new x files.
at least thats how i remember it.
Yeah, season 7 is like season 1 and 2 of TNG in that regard.
>I thought 8 was better than 7 though
It is, by a mile. Season 8 is pretty good if you can get over the fact it isn't the Mulder-Scully show anymore. Season 9 is atrocious.
9 had exactly one kino episode - "John Doe."
Was that the one where not-Mulder cried?
That was a great scene
>already on season 4 of my first run through the series
I'll try to treasure this time, it's been pure brilliance so far
5 is as good as the first 4.
6 has some gems, but that's where it drops off.
Also, there's a movie that bridges the mytharc plot of season 4 and 5 (if I'm remembering it correctly)
i never watched the movies because they were listed separately
i added every season to my watch list but when i searched for the seasons it only showed the seasons and not the movies
also it doesnt tell you when the movie takes place so there is no indication of "ok now watch this movie" so yeh going from 4 to 5 was super confusing.
S6 is probably better than S1 in terms of overall quality. I like season 6 less because I prefer season 1's high points and because I think 6 goes too hard on the comedy, but watching the show as it aired or doing a blind watch there's no question. People overrate season 1 and underrate season 6.
The first season green insects one
That's the comfiest episode, not the spookiest. When will we get a new show that's got tons of episode taking place in rainy mist-covered pacific northwest forests? That's what all the X-Files rip-offs have really been missing, making them all feel like they were shot in a sterile studio.
That one got me, I was a kid and had just learned about fireflies.
This. Followed by the one with the invisible Spaniards in the woods.
Detour, I think its from season 5.
About creatures that can camouflage and take people in the woods. That scared me a lot when I was a kid.
It's one of those episodes I forget inbetween rewatches but am pleasantly surprised to rediscover.
The Liverman is up there. Dude freaked out my Ex Wife so bad if I even mentioned him she would get scared. Good times...dumb b***h
Lol he had two episodes. The best part is when he went blood mode and stalked a woman in daylight and mulder comes out from no where to cuck him out of his liver.
>defeated by an elevator
Such a shitty end for such a kino character
escalators are the apex predator of china, show some respect
Send her a reminder about how he was supposed to come out of hibernation to take new victims in the far off year of 2023.
Mulder was a israelite. See how he suffered? Does that count?
I've been watching this show lately
I had trouble sleeping after watching the episode with the guy who hunted the psychics
I was obsessed with knives at the time and I still am and so between waking and sleeping I couldn't help but think of myself being chopped up with knives
Clyde Bruckman's final repose.
Made me cry more than it spooked me.
Reminder that this is cannon
Plot twist: he was talking to Scully
I keep hearing that's how robin William's dies.
>background changes from vibrant green to black....
This is the only bad picture I've ever seen of her

Darkness Falls
Goated top 5
is squeeze the episode with the lizard man that kills the guy in the office?
He can change the shape of his body, and eats 5 livers every (30?) years, and then hibernates.
Kino top 5.
Love them all.
I’m officially reopening the X-Files
When Scully showed her pussy.
I'm only at season 1 and I would say that the scene where Scully sees her dead dad sitting in a chair was spooky
"All souls" is underrated
Based. Could be a feature film. Eerie and melancholic instead of standard horror. Hauntingly beautiful sound track, too.
The scene where Scully sees the angel is great because the claymation feels so out of place and creepy (in a good way)
I think the scene where she sees the devil's horns in Starkey's shadow is probably my favorite though.
I think it's the first and only time le biblically accurate angel has been done on film. You're right in that it was genuinely unnerving.
Made a webm of it, because why not.
fun fact the cgi for this scene was finished only a couple hours before the episode went live.
It's not underrated, it's horrible garbage.
Why do you think that?
Sorry mixed it up with another episode, with Mulders past life as some civil war soldier garbage.
Nah. I agree, that one fricking blows.
The face on mars alien possession one. Little greys showing up in the night in their spaceship? Pussy shit. A fricking ghost alien thing that has been tormenting you for years, that will leave you and torment others and no one believes you when you say its out there? Real shit
I think a similar but spookier episode is the one where Skinner has recurring nightmares.
Darkness Falls
Our Town
Folie a Deux
Blood
Terms of Endearment
I decided to just stop watching all mythology episodes
I think they're good up to the point where it was obvious they didn't know what direction they wanted to take it in anymore.
I gave up when they introduced his sister but actually it's not his sister
Early Mytharc episodes are good. Back when you really can't tell whether it is aliens or whether it's the government running a huge psyops to make people believe it's aliens instead of their own government running illegal genetic and cloning tests on their own population, using Mulder as a useful idiot to make everyone believe the government is trying to silence the "truth" about aliens. When it becomes clear that it really is a bunch of aliens trying to colonise the planet and they've got their face-holes sewed up it becomes shit and boring.
I liked the one where something attaches on an astronaut in space and comes back to earth with him and the one with the shadows and soft light.
Now that I think about it I don't know maybe these two where from the same episode?
Soft Light was great. The absolute horror of having to constantly watch every light source, everything that makes you cast a shadow because of what it could do
When I was like four or five I snuck into the tv room while my older sister was watching the episode with the forest things that camouflaged themselves. I was hiding behind the couch when the ending with the thing hiding beneath the bed happened and I flew out from behind that couch. One of the top 3 spooks in my life.
Cute. I had a similar experience with my dad watching one of the alien episodes.
>the forest things that camouflaged themselves
Which one?
Detour
Lost my shit when the kid locked eyes with it in the darkness and it started chasing him through his house
>nobody has mentioned Home yet
It's more creepy than spooky
Home is fine but it isn't spooky. The only spooky part is when black sheriff's house is broken into in the middle of the night.
Gonna go with Detour
Meme episode. I never found it good, or scary, it's just mean-spirited.
I think I prefer Doctor Who to X-Files but it's nice to watch the show
Would it be comparable to Who or Torchwood? Always wanted to get into X-Files
Torchwood without all the gay stuff and overcompensation.
Also The X-Files doesn't start off with Mulder using alien technology for some bisexual rape.
X-Files does have an alien bisexual rape episode in the form of Gender Bender. The difference is that the Torchwood guy's alien bisexual rape episode was explicitly just to make the show seem more mature (he admits it), because he's a hack.
Gender Bender didn't completely ignore the rape/murder stuff like Torchwood did, turning the guy into a fricking hero by ignoring the misuse.
I remember being confused as frick why they set him up to be an obvious bad guy(you could tell he wasn't a hero do to his fishy lips) who's infiltrated the organisation only to never do anything with it.
Anything with Tooms. That character legit still give me the willies.
apparently the actor INSISTED on actually being naked during the chase scene before he dies
>mfw the actor outdid the character's feats by crawling his way into a teenagers panties when he was nearing 50
On May 20, 2011, Hutchison married his third wife,[7] Courtney Stodden, in Las Vegas.[8][9] They met when Stodden attended an acting class taught by Hutchison.[10] Their relationship drew controversy and criticism, as Stodden was 16 years old when the couple married, and Hutchison was 51.
She calls him a groomer now.
It's really hard to call him anything else when they clearly met and fricked before she was even 16, if that's how old she was when they married. Even his family called him out on it because it was so fricking blatant. The only one standing by the marriage was the kid's mom, who was obviously one of those moms who pimps their kid out in the hopes they'll become a star so mommy never has to work.
If some 14/15-year old wants to frick Brad Pitt then that's understandable. He's 50 but he's still Brad Pitt. But the guy who played Tooms and the snivelling butthole on The Green Mile? He didn't have teenage sex appeal even when he was young, much less at 50.
>She

Fearful Symmetry S02E18
One of the worst episodes of the series.
this episode
>666

Checked.
nah he getting zooted
It has to be Die Hand Die Verletzt for me, chief.
I've always kinda made fun of the people that said certain things gave them a 'bad vibe' or 'evil feeling' because I'm very sceptical towards paranormal stuff, but watching this episode had me clenching my butthole from fear.
I think it was the thought of it being very possible and happening right now in some town in Bumfrick, North America. The cult shit and rape stories and kidnapping felt like something you would hear over the news or read in a newspaper.
Get behind me, Satan.
What in the frick???

When the KJV was published in 1611, William Shakespeare was 46 years old. If you go to Psalm 46, the 46th word from the beginning is "shake" and the 46th word from the end is "spear."

Gillian Anderson is the most attractive woman on the planet. Even today.
There is nothing wrong at your office job bro, just ignore the weird sounds you're hearing
I want to have buttsex with X-Files era Gillian Anderson if you understand what I mean
Elaborate. I don't get it.
I too am confused

yet another finnish win for the tally
>I'd do your blackhole even sober!
>Scully, hold still, I think I see a UFO
>you'll never give Scully's razorburned pussy some relief by blowing on it

I'M GONNA COOOOOM
How old is she supposed to be in that pic?
old enough
Mommy-age, does the exact number matter?
You got the balcony pic?
No but I have another boat pic.
today is a good day
>the episode where a disabled Poojeet midget crawls up people's buttholes and shits himself out.
Not really scary but I couldn't stop laughing when I watched it recently
Legit the only memorable episode from the post-Mulder seasons.
Except maybe the one with the bat creature.
>that episode where they pull a parasitic worm out of Scully's ass
>that train episode
>the mexican episode
There were some good episodes
I disagree. Season 8 is overall better than 7. Via Negativa, Roadrunners, and Redrum are great episodes. Of course the mythology is complete shit.
I’m not gonna let you sit here and pretend the “Burt Reynolds as God” episode isnt pure kino
Ok, that one was pretty good
Not the Jackass bug kid episode? Or the Brady Bunch episode?
I might be biased there because I'm pretty sure those two episodes aired a hundred times on the one channel that aired The X-Files and Supernatural late at night here. I don't understand why but they just kept repeating them instead of running through the whole season.
Some channels do the same thing where I live. Probably because of license fees.
They run the same 40-odd simpsons episodes and occasionally introduce a new one (they've been doing that since the early 2000's)
That one gave me nightmares when I was a kid
El Mundo Gira was the first one I ever watched and I remember being creeped out by the way the guy is just turning into a freak while wandering the town at night, spreading his fungus
It's so cool seeing all the people that Vince Gilligan liked enough to cast in bb in the x-files, too.
I’m grateful for Dreamland giving us Chuck kino 15 years later.
And Walter, and Tuco (as mentioned), and Hank.
There's also an episode where Mulder is doing a background check over the phone with a Mrs. Ehrmantraut
Oh shit, I don't remember that. What episode?
I don't remember which episode, but it was when Kersh was in charge and he had Mulder and Scully doing b***h work at a desk instead of field work
Fun fact: when The X-Files started airing The Chupacabra wasn't even a thing yet and wouldn't be for years. It got invented after a lady got really spooked watching Species. The urban legend was just such a smash hit that by the time it got an X-Files episode people actually believed it was an old story going back decades, like Bigfoot, even though there's no records of it before that lady came up with her story.
i didn't know that. I was obsessed with cryptids as a kid and I made binders categorizing them with all of the random shit I read about them on the net. I wish I still had those notes.
>he had to make his own binders
>monster world
HOLY FRICK, the nostalgia. Used to get these by mail.
I still have mine in a closet somewhere. I'm going to pass them down to my kids so they can be just as spooked by reading about the wendigos and those man-eating worms that live in the desert.
you have reminded me of those badass books at the book fair that I never got to buy. I remember the illustrations inside were awesome
Phwoar, that book was fricking awesome. Used to read that constantly as a kid
Leonard Betts
Did they ever go further with the reboot? I think the last episode of it I saw ended with a NWO plan going down and a UFO taking them
Didn't bother watching the reboot because I knew it would be bad
Only the mytharc episodes were bad
I thought the first reboot season was so awful, I never bothered watching the second
All I remember of the reboot Scully's AI-haunted vibrator episode and the pure moronation of the writers going "no the aliens had to abandon their plans for colonisation because they couldn't see global warming coming".
>"no the aliens had to abandon their plans for colonisation because they couldn't see global warming coming".
For real?
Yeah, it was how they explained why this guy didn't show up any more, or any other super soldier alien hybrids. All because they realised that super soldier plot thread was fricking shit.
But what they should have done is have global warming be part of their colonisation efforts to make the planet more habitable for themselves but then the aliens get BTFO by some other means. Have a government black ops group that wasn't connected to the rest and so didn't know about The Plan, just like they talked about early on in the show with lots of groups having their own secrets, and so managed to create a virus to wipe them all out without the Quislings finding out in time. Then you could have stories about how humanity might still be fricked because the aliens are all dead but the plans they set in motion are still going and might doom us all unless we manage to reverse it or adapt.
for some reason i used to think that actor was the same actor who played animal mother in full metal jacket. the weird thing is adam baldwin actually ends up in the x files as a super solider in season 8, so that made me even more confused
The guy who played the alien bounty hunter is perhaps bestie known as one of the punks in the opening opening scene of the Terminator.
For some reason I remembered this guy being played by Kevin Durand, probably because of his big teeth making the connection. So whenever Durand showed up in LOST or in Wild Hogs all I could think about was his gums being scraped off with a shiv.
>But what they should have done is have global warming be part of their colonisation efforts to make the planet more habitable for themselves but then the aliens get BTFO by some other means. Bro, become a writer.
It's weird how often people on Cinemaphile tell me to become a writer. Too bad I have no industry contacts and so could never become one.
a couple of people named the israelite but it was obvious they were made out to be villainous or obviously wrong in some type of way. Pic related
>villainous
They portrayed him as sympathetic though. Bravo Vince
ive always thought the spookiest episode was the one when they get lost in the forest with those red eyed invisible things stalking them. those things freak me the frick out
Watched this stoned with my bro at midnight and it legitimate scared the frick out of us. Had to bike home after and was freaked the frick out the whole ride. The scene where you see it in the hallway at night is creepy kino
X-Cops obviously
Nice
He asked for the spookiest, not the funniest.
>Not watching it as a child and thinking it's a real episode of Cops
Ahem, that's not the vampire episode.
mulders scream is probably the funniest moment in the entire series
That would be Bad Blood
The Unnatural
That's Jose Chung's my friend
Not really spooky, and the episode is kinda bad, but the fricking midget gypsie in Badlaa gives me the creeps bad.
OOMPA LOOMPA DOMBATIDOOO, SOON I WILL BE THE POO INSIDE YOU!
he was alive at the end. Does that mean scully shot a kid?
One of the creepiest episodes had a plot with zero paranormal/supernatural implications. I think the episode was called “Fetishist”, which had a creep with a series of escalating fetishes that took a fancy to Scully. Big trouble. The performance by the actor was top fricking notch, he really got under my skin.
the hair guy? they show him multiple times as some type of demon
This guy was based want he in more than one episode?
The guy who worked at a morgue?
He was based on Dahmer.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orison_(The_X-Files)
They did a sequel where he turned out to be a demon though
A shame.
The psychological coping mechanism of viewing vile humans as something other than human was better, imo. It's a real thing that has been reported by would-be serial killer victims.
Nick Chinlund. He's great in everything.
>he was billy bedlam in con air
what the frick
Jesus christ how? Is this the power of beards?
And the "Indian" in The Sopranos episode "Christopher."
That's what I thought if too doesn't one of the dudes call mulder a israelite? It was pretty cartoon how evil and racist the dudes were
In Bryan Cranston's episode he also calls Mulder a israelite.
What's the best place to watch this currently? I used to watch it on TV when I was young but I've never seen all the episodes and that many years ago. Been thinking about watching the entire series.
its on amazon with ads
Cool, I think I'll watch it there then
I got spooked from pirating TV and movies years ago and just don't want to deal with it. I don't have any kind of private tracker membership.
Don't have that
>I got spooked from pirating TV and movies
Why?
>I don't have any kind of private tracker membership
All big shows are readily available and well seeded on public trackers.
Just torrent it
in the us it comes on comet every day if you have an antenna
it's on Hulu if youve got that
None of them. The only reason to watch this show is to jerk off.
Filtered, coomer.
Since when did Cinemaphile fall for the streaming israelite?
since its average userbase is now 16 year old, computer illiterate morons who are scared of daddy gubmint
Many such cases. Sad!
Spookiest was the opening scene of Kill Switch.
hard to watch x-files since scully makes my pp hard
Scully make peepee feel funny
easy to watch x-files since scully makes my pp hard
>you will never...
just end it right now.
what's the point...
>they did werewolves
>they did vampires
Why no zombie episodes?
They did zombies
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X-Files:_Resist_or_Serve
It sucked.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennium_(The_X-Files)
I ain't reading all that
Hollywood AD
Oh yeah, fair enough.
Good episode too.
but there was a zombie episode with soldiers in haiti called Fresh Bones
He wasn't really a zombie though, just undead.
it is literally about zombies
You're right. I only remembered when the "main hatian" came back from the dead at the end.
I remember when I was younger, I swear I watched an episode of the Xfiles that was fricking nightmare inducing. It was about some serial killer person but he was some weird looking pink demon/monster.
I've seen every xfiles episode now and couldn't find it at all. The closest I could find in terms of appearance is flukeman, but it doesn't look the same and he is just someone who lives in the sewers, he's not some fricking serial killer who hunts down people.
Maybe I just misremember it but man that shit gave me nightmares for ages.
Can you remember any other details? First thing that came to mind was the season 9 episode "Hellbound" about people being skinned. Maybe you mistook the reddish/pink flesh as a monster?
The only thing I really remember is they had a polaroid of the serial killer and he barely looked human. Very similar to the flukeman.
Christ, this is gonna nag at me. I wish you had more details. I consider myself fairly well versed in this show, see in probably a dozen times all the way through. Nothing is coming to mind that fits that criteria.
Same
Like I said, I could be misremembering it. All I can remember is they were hunting a killer of some sort, they knew who he was and had pictures of him and he looked inhuman and they were trying to find him rather than trying to discover who or what was killing people.
unruhe?
Thought that too. Anon mentioned the Polaroid. But there's no real "monster" in that episode.
well, that pic on wiki looks like there is. Maybe that's what he remembered?
Might could be. I figured not because it's not pink like anon mentioned, and the only time it's seen is in the Polaroid. I hope that's what he was remembering, be good to solve it.
It's the only possible solution unless my memory is failing me
You don't have to worry about it, like I said I am probably misremembering it. Like I said I've seen every episode and the closest match was flukeman in appearance.
you sure it was x-files and not some other show?
I am pretty certain it had Mulder in it, but it was so long ago maybe I am mixing it up with a similar show, but I don't know what it could be.

S04E02 "Home"
Can't believe no one has mentioned this yet
Patience, Detour, Home, Squeeze are top.
I actually think Duane Barry episode was pretty spooky too
The Duane Barry two parter is one of the highlights of the whole show. Great stuff. One of many reasons I can't abide shitting on the mytharc in its entirety.
The biggest X-Files mystery for me is the name and artist of the song that plays in the season 1 episode "Shapes." I have looked everywhere and asked everyone.
https://pomf2.lain.la/f/rcz29tbk.flac
Try googling the lyrics you can hear.
English is not my primary language so it's really hard for me to decipher, with it being so mumbly.
I've done that a hundred times, as have other anons I've asked about it. I wish it had helped. There is absolutely zero information anywhere that I can find.
going through lyrics might be the best. I hear something like
>gotta keep going, going down if you like, you can handle something something when i look behind
other anons should chip in
I tried searching with some of the lyrics and got nothing. My guess is that it's a song by a local band that one of the staff knew (or was even a member of) and that the song has never been distributed anywhere. They probably got to use it for free or something.
This seems like a good theory.
The x files used copyrighted music quite sparingly, in general.
Idiot

no idea about the title or artist, sadly. ep's called "Both Sides Now", it's either s01e16 or s01e17 depending on whether you count the double pilot as one or two episodes.
