>writer from early seasons comes back >makes a two part clipshow
One of them has said that they want the last episode to end with them going to to christmas pageant that the very first episode starts with. kinda like how futurama could have ended in an infinite loop, but if the simpsons ever ends, there's no way it's coming back
The Simpsons really has this awful habit of killing off or shelving characters because of their VAs. So many potential plotlines and characters just gone.
The guest star voiced characters are just a complete waste, the only recurring female students one could consider characters are Sherri, Terri, and maybe Janey, and even those are a stretch.
It's kinda annoying that they kept Allison in the background, yet she never actually does or says anything. I for one would like to see her, Jessica, Francine, and even Laura Powers as regulars.
Hell, the Powers are their neighbors, do something with that.
the powers moved away a long time ago. I think most recently, sideshow bob lived in that house back in the episode where he cut his own face off. I doubt ruth would move back in.
The Golden Era is good, but not great. A whole third of them are Lisa episodes.
The "Bart becomes a US Supreme Court Justice" idea has always been dumb, a one off joke that ran away with itself. It would never happen, he's a trouble maker & a terrible student.
>B-b-b-b-b-but it's not his fault! The school is bad!
Then why do Lisa, Martin & those geek boys thrive? Bart is always skipping school, eschewing homework & studying, & does stuff that would reasonably get him expelled. Bart's best possible future is one of a plain but not horrible life where he holds down a job in some factory doing line work & avoids being arrested most of the time.

I think the demolition job wasn't a bad idea for him.
If they're not going to age up the cast, they should at least have more teen/young adult characters so they can stop putting Bart and Lisa in stories obviously not meant for 10 or 8 year olds.
Scully's episodes are part of the golden era for me. Hardcore fans even admit that Trilogy of Error and Behind the Laughter were great episodes, but I thought most of S10-12 was just as funny.
Skinner and Edna were one of the show's best couple (or at the very least miles better than Edna/Ned) and breaking them up was an extremely moronic decision.
I think what really stings is that they hyped their relationship up for many years, and then by the episode they were supposed to get married on, they just go "oops nevermind".
The future episodes all suck with the exception of the one with the british guy Lisa almost marries.
Well yeah, that's the first future episode they did.
>old simpsons good new simpsons bad
That's not "unpopular".
The future episodes are well regarded even with "old good, new bad" fans, especially Holidays of Future Passed.
True.
In general I dont like the serious/emotional episodes from the golden era at all. They always came off as sappy.
That its writers will eventually be forced into giving it a "Seinfeld ending"
>writer from early seasons comes back

I meant more that either one or all of them are sent to prison

They ruined adult animation by limiting cartoony stuff and relying on writerspeak.
They ruined adult animation by forcing shit that most 7 year olds can handle to be labeled "adult".
Apparently my unpopular opinion is that Kumiko Albertson is attractive, because there's hardly ANY R34 of her.

Homer's Phobia is a bad episode
Zzzzzaaap!
Not sure yet, I'm still making my way through season 15.
I hope it keeps going and going even after people die and becomes a Show of Theseus like soap operas.
homer is hot and i would let him plow me
They shouldn't have killed off Mrs. Krabappel 🙁

They were fine with recasting Russi Taylor's characters.
It's inconsistent. Lunch Lady Doris/Dora happened too so there's not even a "if they only do one character, the character dies with them" rule.
I guess they just consider Russi Taylor and Doris Grau replaceable, unlike Phil Hartman and Marcia Wallace.
>unlike Phil Hartman
Well, he actually is irreplaceable.

Francine was one weird ass guest character because she barely talked anyway.
Jessica could be an actual enemy for Lisa

Homer shouldn't have creampied his own butthole.
Panda rape is funny
Quimby's wife is hot, and also Luann (due to her sleeveless top leaving her armp1ts exposed)

This is the "I drunk drive and am still alive so how can drunk driving be bad?"
The best Simpsons stuff produced were the Tracy Ullman shorts before the series, it's all downhill once the show is actually greenlit.

Personally I consider the Scully era the Silver Age which is equally heretical with Simpson fans.
The Computer Wore Menace Shoes is the greatest Simpsons episode of all time
Are they even The Simpsons?
It's the weakest of the animated family sitcoms even during its golden age
Classic Simpsons is comedy perfection, but Futurama has the much stronger cast
Well yeah, Zapp on his own is probably stronger than all Simpsons put together.
Futurama is Reddit
There's nothing wrong with the Principle and the Pauper.

The joke of Flanders in the early seasons doesn't really work because of just how all around preachy it is.
It wasn't that bad like 5-10 years ago
Are they The Simpsons?
