Objectively it is pretty bad, real hot take though is that it doesn't matter and it ended up being more memorable and appealing than art that people would say was better back then. A lot of people might not remember when the art in Scott Pilgrim was being parodied and shit on regularly. Concept art and digital painting was getting real popular in the late 2000's and people were shitting on simple/cartoony styles

Todd being gay worked for me. He's an egotistical idiot, Wallace gives him tons of positive attention and then makes him "feel good".
I'd say he's pretty much just gay for that type of attention he receives. It's not like the guy was exactly pure either, since he was already a cheater in the main series.

Never watched the movie or the comics but I absolutely loved the game and netflix series. Since it basically gave more time to everyone I cared about in the game. Art is pretty damn good and a great juxtaposition to some of the heavier elements of the story.
