isn't all the nudity from some movie version of Benny Hill they did? kind of like how monty python made a movie of bits re-filmed from the flying circus show
I torrented a huge Benny Hill collection, 90% is cringe, but the good stuff is 1000% hilarious, especially the chases and some of the skits with slapstick/physical comedy.
I'm English born in the 80s and am just old enought to remember Benny Hill on TV, and the only time I hear about Benny Hill is from Americans or foreigners in general. Yeah, in the early 70s he was huge getting like 20 million viewers, but now no one gives a frick about Benny Hill in this country, when his show got cancelled he fell off the map harder than anyone. Yet growing up I would see references to his comedy, and none of it came from Britain. Everything from The Simpsons to movies like V for Vendetta have Benny Hill shit in them and I've no idea why.
why was benny hill allowed in mainstream tv
it was basically a soft porn

How truthful is this about WW2? Many documentaries are filled with agendas and lies.
It's obviously quite British-centered (imperial, even)
It's got a lot of nice interviews of then still living key actors in the war (from all sides)
Speer and Doenitz are casually interviewed like it's nothing

YOU'LL BE DROWNED IN THE FRICKING THAMES BRITISH SCUM
The World at War, probably the best WWII documentary series ever
