I don't think so, the Barbatos has pretty odd proportions along with most of the IBO Gundams and people bought those kits by the dozen.
Maybe 20 years ago that would've been the case, but after 40 years of the same designs being recycled Gundam fans seem to want more variety now.
Even the Aerial and L'Frith as it is break some conventions like not having any waist armor, and the small waist sections.
They also have really large thighs, almost like Appleseed's Landmates.

They do have waist armor though? It might not be a complete covering, but there is waist armor on both and there's not even a huge amount of unprotected area visible either.
