women are not capable of love towards her partner, only towards her children (and even that is not always the case)
i thought everybody knew this by now. even that gayhomosexual Tom Ford knows this
The intense seethe in this review suggests she probably did something similar to the main character. She’s also super pissed off about the fatties at the beginning because they’re happy and comfortable in their own skin, which is what you are allowed to be if you live a decent life show loyalty to the people you love, extra bit of salt in the wound for these hags. Bravo Tom
a classic case of fujoshi seething. as a likely fat woman who sees herself as unmarketable to the opposite sex she recluses herself into yaoi and gay shipping in major media. she loves a single man because she sees a kindred spirit in julianne moore's gayhag characters and she gains a certain amount of titillation from nick hoult's nude body in the ending moments. she's in her element.
but she can't handle any movie about heterosexuality, hence why nocturnal animals is just too much. and she identifies with film characters too much which is why she takes offense to the opening scene with the fat women. you just know this same woman has watched challengers recently and is a little underwhelmed that it's more concerned with heterosexuality than homosexuality. seething that john faist and josh o connor didn't kiss more on screen.
>Why didn't Tom Ford make another film after this?
His husband died in 2021, five years after NA came out and after an extended illness, plus his company was sold in 2022, so I imagine he's not had the time or attention.
Also, we're not really worthy, we can only hope he gifts us another 10/10
I watched it today because you people keep talking about it and man what a waste of time. The synopsis on imdb said "A wealthy art gallery owner is haunted by her ex-husband's novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a symbolic revenge tale.". What I expected was that the whole movie would be her reading the novel and then recognizing the threats between the lines and getting paranoid her husband is going to hurt her but instead the whole movie is a super lame generic revenge plot movie with corny acting. The two redneck though guy actors were not very believable and it was tedious to watch as you know what will happen but there was nothing else to hold my interest. It really showed that the director is not experienced.
>morals of the story are >the art world is vapid, empty and pretentious >being a "sensitive guy" means that you're a pussy and life will frick you sideways if you make it your core personality >simps can get by if they're handsome, but will get dumped when a handsome Chad comes along; Beta Bucks Alpha Fricks >all "le liberated and englightened" liberal women are just pampered bawds that make rebelling their core personality, have no values, hate their parents for no logical reasons and eventually turn into the conformist people they hated because that's more secure >the "evil right wingers" are just grown, logical people who try to find a balance over living with delusions >women run after Chad even when they know he's an butthole, then get mad at him for following his nature; they still stay with him though because they cannot admit their mistake >it all comes down to power and strength, and the only way for justice to be done is for the strong men to remain moral and above their base urges
Unironically and without memeing, how did such a movie get made in [current day], by a gay man of all people? Seriously, that's some right wing manifesto stuff you'd find in a Fascist state. Not to mention we're talking about a film that had literally no Black folk and featured 4 different redheads. What the actual frick? The movie literally opens by ridiculing the pampered kitsch modern artists peddling fat acceptance, then features Amy Adams getting disgusted at a stereotypical negress talking with an accent about dicks and cum on tv. That's bonafide White Supremacy by today's standards.
Seriously, how does this exist and why aren't more people paying attention?
>Unironically and without memeing, how did such a movie get made in [current day], by a gay man of all people?
Because despite all the crust and aids memes. gays see women and straight men for what they are. They're not tied by the need of pussy that makes us moronic and they're not tied to the need to compete, parade and do posturing that we do with each other for a woman.
Of course Ford, being a homosexual from the high circles; can see this better than anyone
>why does an homosexual sees roasties as prostitutes and vapid morons.
Because they actually talk to women, and talk with them about the topics that most men don't
>Seriously, how does this exist and why aren't more people paying attention?
My post
>what did I learn from this media?
That Tom Ford can speedrun any commercial creative endeavour he likes because he has god-tier taste, vision, and adeptness for marketing and politics.
explains part of it
Part of Ford's method in fashion was to always have *every* publication and catalogue on hand, he'd flip through them all with a keen focus on what's boring him, letting him intuit what's missing from the market.
No doubt he did the same thing with film, influencing him to tell a story which he wants to tell, and which also needs to be told.
Having a cultural impact and relevance is probably as important to him as the produced work itself, but for mostly the right reasons, he indulges himself while feeling responsible to indulge the audience, too.
>what did I learn from this media?

>Randomly drops one of the best movies ever made
Hardly random, he directed "A Single Man" years before, another flawless kino. >Time to admit that "directors" are the biggest hack profession to ever exist.
Time to admit Tom Ford's a genius beyond comprehension >Verification not required.
Single man was just okay imo, maybe it went over my head or you have to be gay to get it. I found the fantasy scene of firth pissing all over a boys face in slow motion to be a little too gaypedo coded for my tastes
moronic
when i shit outside I actually shit outside, as in do a squat in the woods , the natural way to shit
not this moronic american thing with a toilet which is just le outside
Playing make believe can sometimes go to far. Everything that happened in the movie was inside her head. She wrote the novel herself and sent it to herself. Her ex was just a figment of her imagination.
her feelings were hurt so bad bro
imagine how awful it was to go home to her mansion and wealth after being stood up, she probably felt sad for at least half an hour before getting distracted and forgetting about it
>"when you love someone you don't just throw it away, you might never get it again"
top 10 film, easy
Who do you think threw it away?
woman, always the woman
i dont even have to watch this crap to know its a woman
But if you cheat on someone and abort their child which you're carrying without telling them could you ever have really loved them?
women are not capable of love towards her partner, only towards her children (and even that is not always the case)
i thought everybody knew this by now. even that gayhomosexual Tom Ford knows this
So if she's not capable of love how could she throw it away?
she is not aware that she is not capable of love
besides the definition of love is not the same for a man and for a woman
every man learns this eventually but it takes time. 18-25 y/os probably aren't there yet
she wanted the fashionable high life. she got it but in exchange her marriage is fake and her husband fricks other women and everyone knows it.
Probably the one who killed their baby then ran off with a workmate because he was 17 and had a car
Amy Adams was a c**t and Jake was a passive-agressive beta.
and always carry a gun
movie is pro-gun so much i love Tom
People who choose career over true love go to hell (they don’t even have to wait to die)
>People who choose career over true love go to hell
>they don’t even have to wait to die
holy frick im gonna use this
brilliant
Women are evil. Modern art is made by and for women and thus also evil.
Why is Jake always in that pose making that face
>what did I learn from this media?
that gay directors will always prioritize style over substance
did you even watch this movie? its all about substance moron
yes but reddit plebs mistake these types of plot devices for substance
One of the 2010's best movies.
Why didn't Tom Ford make another film after this?
Reading reviews on thos movies from roasties is one of the funniest thing.

Hang in there Tom Ford. Literally /ourhomo/.

Cause he's gay and also a major fashion designer that women love. A catty gay can basically say anything and it's just cheeky
or maybe he just knows the womens nature and he is not blinded by the pussy
>Unironically and without memeing, how did such a movie get made in [current day], by a gay man of all people?

I hated the ugly women in the opening and i hated the jumpscare
I walked out after the fatass naked hoe dance
>pay to see movie at theatre
>sit down in auditorium
>movie begins
>30 seconds pass
>walk out
Good one genius
Is this the movie with the creepy "middle of the night on the streets" opening?
maybe? there's a long sequence where family gets held hostage on the highway
Yeah that's what I mean, thanks honey
im a woman and what is this?
>im a woman
breasts or gtfo
whats gtfo?
Tom Ford really likes redheads
>what did I learn from this media?
That Tom Ford can speedrun any commercial creative endeavour he likes because he has god-tier taste, vision, and adeptness for marketing and politics.
This movie gave me misogynist incel vibes. Shit like this is why roe v wade was repealed.
Muh soggy knee incels are a product of hypergamist matriarchy.
>muh
nice terf dogwhistle nazi
>no film school
>didn't work in film before
>Randomly drops one of the best movies ever made , and maybe the best movie about female nature
Time to admit that "directors" are the biggest hack profession to ever exist.
Why do people here interpret any female character doing something bad as representing the "female nature"?
homosexual redditors like you obviously wouldnt get it.
Did you get cheated on once?
>Randomly drops one of the best movies ever made
Hardly random, he directed "A Single Man" years before, another flawless kino.

I can understand that, I'm not entirely sure I "get" what it's all about fully but it was a masterclass in kino direction with some standout feels.
>Literally /ourhomo/.
And unironically
Is this an American thing?
what shitting outside or shitting without your shirt on
Having a toilet outside on your doorstep
>shitting without your shirt on
I take off all my clothes before taking a shit
moronic
when i shit outside I actually shit outside, as in do a squat in the woods , the natural way to shit
not this moronic american thing with a toilet which is just le outside
isn't he in a cabin in the middle of nowhere in the Mojave desert? that's different than shitting on your suburban doorstep
why are gays so good at making movies about insane/evil women?
gays know shit about women that straight men don't
Also women can't seduce them so they don't get manipulated by pussy
Playing make believe can sometimes go to far. Everything that happened in the movie was inside her head. She wrote the novel herself and sent it to herself. Her ex was just a figment of her imagination.
stfu idiot
that supposedly women don't only care about money
her feelings were hurt so bad bro
imagine how awful it was to go home to her mansion and wealth after being stood up, she probably felt sad for at least half an hour before getting distracted and forgetting about it
*empty mansion
while her daughter is whoring herself somewhere and her husband cheating on her with a younger babe
