She got hotter as she got older, she was hotter in Austin Powers 2 and even later on Scrubs. She had too girllike of a face in this movie. Still hot but not a grown woman look
I personally think it's underrated. The film comments deeply on what the wave of 80's neo-conservatism did to not only the porn industry, but American culture as a whole.
Yeah that's what I was thinking when I first watched it 25 years ago. Totally capeshit, being shot on real film and all, with great acting and camerawork.
yeah and can't believe they cut the coke scene through the glass table
It's aimless and it's basically a rehash of Goodfellas but with a Naive Horsewiener Kid rather than a middling Gangster.
It's well made but overrated
it's as close to casino.
honestly i didn't liked it except the drug deal scene, it's like a movie made by tryhard college student trying to rip off tarantino and scorsese, except with big budget, the donut shop scene is the best example
but i'm filtered by almost all PTA movies
I somewhat agree, especially about the donut shop scene. Yet overall I think he pulled it off. I don't know who the cameraman was but he is a big part of why it's great.
The 3 people all dying at once was pretty moronic ngl. I never thought I'd say this but that idea worked better in "The Machine" with Bert Kreischer. (Yes he's a terrible stand up but that was a fun movie)
why do plebs on this board always single out the donut shop scene? it was fricking genius
?t=74
cut to the hunter is the biggest laugh in the whole film. have watched it with multiple groups of people from all kinds of backgrounds. without exception people laugh hardest at that and also >hey pal THIS IS ROLLERGIRL this ain't some hole in the wall >THAT'S WHAT WE CAME HERE TO MOTHERFRICKIN DO AND THAT'S WHAT I'M GONNA' MOTHERFRICKIN' DO
>cut to the hunter is the biggest laugh in the whole film
I thought he was an off duty cop. There was also no intended or inherent humor. You sound like the kind of person to elbow someone and say check this shit out.

She's a genuinely hateful b***h. I felt so bad for Dirk in that scene where she kept berating him and he was saying "stop being mean". It hurt my soul, he came off like a little kid being bullied.
PTA has openly spoken about this character being based on his own abusive mother. The mother berates him like a jealous wife berating a husband for sleeping with a hot secretary or something when she finds out he's got a GF. It's fricked up. Then he goes and has a mother complex with Julianne Moore's character.
middling scorsese rip-off
ha ha big pp
Julianne Moore is hot.
She was already walled in this.
I know. She looks more attractive post-wall.
Yes, I do love MILFs and hags.
i dont know how anyone can think this
Small redhead. I've met a few and I find them all cute.
The hottest lady was Buck's dumb blonde. OK face but great body.
>Ignoring prime, full-frontal Heather Graham
She is made of mush, no muscle tone.
Frick off, literal homosexual.
She's just OK, in fact she's LITERALLY the worst actor in the movie. Part could have been played by just about about anyone else.
She got hotter as she got older, she was hotter in Austin Powers 2 and even later on Scrubs. She had too girllike of a face in this movie. Still hot but not a grown woman look
It played into her role. Her and Dirk were meant to be the overgrown children who couldn't cut it in the real world.
Makes sense for the role but I'm not as into her pure looks wise until she gets alittle older
>She got hotter as she got older
>Austin Powers 2
That was literally a year later. Also, this homie ain't seen Twin Peaks.
She looks great here, probably because she looks better modestly dressed in combo with her young face.
>Twin Peaks
License to Drive is where I first saw her

idk you thought it insisted on itself or something
one of the best movies ever made btw
I personally think it's underrated. The film comments deeply on what the wave of 80's neo-conservatism did to not only the porn industry, but American culture as a whole.
You mean bought us another 20-25 years of not totally submitting to destructive nihilism? They gave us what we needed but not we wanted, time.
Yes, the porn industry has clearly suffered since the 1980s.
Kino of the highest order
It's Capeshit but about porn stars.
Yeah that's what I was thinking when I first watched it 25 years ago. Totally capeshit, being shot on real film and all, with great acting and camerawork.
I wouldn't buy a stereo system from Buck.
Was he broken?
>I brought you in here because I thought you could help get me some pussy. And ya did.
Seems like a fair trade to me.
Honestly, it wasn't kino enough. The deleted scenes of Becky dealing with her new husband and Dirk wrecking his car were awesome.
Becky has a clean vegana, I always liked that about her.
yeah and can't believe they cut the coke scene through the glass table
it's as close to casino.

You sound jealous as frick. Show us your student film reel, loser.
>it's like a movie made by tryhard college student
Well, it was made by a 26 year old.
What the frick was her problem?
She's a genuinely hateful b***h. I felt so bad for Dirk in that scene where she kept berating him and he was saying "stop being mean". It hurt my soul, he came off like a little kid being bullied.
She was in a loveless marriage. There's not enough backstory to know why.
Yes that was apparent but she was still needlessly taking it out on her son. Felt terrible for him.
Then she played her part well.
Indeed. Played a great c**t.
She wanted his dick.

>Pornographers are heckin wholesome and good people!
>get arrested for diddling kids
What movie did you watch
I’m a big bright shining star
bump
you thought it was good but not 10/10 like there will be blood and the master.
Maybe Burt Reynold's best performance even if he hated the film.
I only watch for him and John C Reilly. Wish JCR had more screen time
Dumb people doing dumb shit but they all more or less mean well and have heart, so we root for them.
en... it's mid
Babylon mogs it
worst possible take
