It's sad when someone is so close to grasping the situation, but is still too set in their ways to comprehend it. He talks about big media companies and their underhanded methods with such detail on the film side, but then says when he wants to see the news, his sources are the New York Times and CNN?

White boomers worship black people like the meme. They are in love with themselves, their liberal religion, and the successful (mostly childless) ones are so far insulated from having to actually interact with black people they can continue living in the fairytale world in their heads.

I actually had to pay for shit and I realize that every dollar I put into SS is going to be spent on them instead of me. Boomers got cheap college, steady jobs out of highschool, and a culture that wasn't totally Blackfied, yet they still wanted to tear it down. They are children.

Yep. They're running a long obsolete version of israeli propaganda so what they say sounds nonsensical. Its like they're trapped in a israeli illusion from half a century ago. The right wing ones at least understand that something is wrong, they're just so conditioned to not see the israelites or recognize the patterns that they'll never truly understand what's happening. Unrestrained israeli media influence after ww2 has done incalculable damage to the true (white) american people

Reminds me of an interview with David Crosby from about a decade ago. It was the last and final time I listened to NPR. The guy was like 70-something years old and totally delusional. Like he was stuck in this flower power mentality where America is just a precious child having a "phase." How do these guys get to be that age and they still don't get it. At least Carpenter admits that he consumes the propaganda, but he clearly doesn't recognize it. Mentally, they're stuck in a long-gone time where anything was possible.

I agree with him completely, the whole movie was like visiting an alien culture, where you can't relate or understand most of it. Anything they introduced to me was like smoke, you couldn't touch it, you couldn't hold it either, and it had no shape except whatever you imagined it to be, and with no frame of reference I imagined nothing.

Watch Body Bags too. It was supposed to be a TV series, but got cancelled so they just made it into an anthology. Carpenter is in it and plays a sort of Crypt Keeper character who introduces the stories. You can tell he's having fun. It's based.

Everything from Dark Star to In the Mouth Madness. After that just Vampires and Cigarette Burns. Although, if you want perspective, watch them all, so you know a master is capable of doing shit (Village of the Damned, Escape from LA, Ghosts of Mars, Pro-Life, The Ward).

Cigarette Burns was very enjoyable. Proved he still had it in him. Tbh I used to watch Ghosts of Mars all the time in high school and still think of it fondly. My wife and I just recently saw Escape From LA for the first time and actually really enjoyed it. It’s more of a tongue in cheek parody of LA than a proper movie, but we are in on the joke so that probably helped a lot. Loved the ending, too. One of Snake’s greatest moments.

He stopped caring on anything since long time ago. Dunno why people still took him seriously these days and this is coming from a fan of his. Like one time developers of F.E.A.R. 3 hired him to direct some cutscenes for them and he didn't even go to the office to do any of stuff they paid him to do.

I also realized some time ago that he'll basically attach his name to anything if he gets a paycheck out of it and has to put in very minimal effort, which is kind of sad. I suppose I'd do the same in his position, though.
