Did you even see this movie? Dunst's character was depressed at br sister's wedding with a bunch of bougie knobs, while her sister (Gainsburg) is initially happy. Then the meteor comes and they flip sides, with Dunst's character getting more content as the end draws near and control-obsessef Gainsburg getting more desperate and upset.
