Just watched it, it's completely forgettable, but it contains /misc/bait (the girls fight the ex-bf of one of them, who happens to be an angry straight white male who doesn't approve their love) that will let shiteater trolls spam threads about it for a week before they move onto the next fabricated outrage.
"In a Heartbeat" continues being the better short about gay couples, not only because it doesn't contain "culture war fuel" (it's just the story of a boy who is in love with a classmate but is too shy to confess his feelings for him) but because it dares to use BOYS instead of picking the easy cliche route and using lesbians for the film.
Piece of Cake is the epitome of White Man Bad. But hey, at least he has a backbone unlike the brown guy who just has to accept that some dyke led him on and used him.
I've tried looking into some of these companies but all the Scarab Film links I find are dead or sketchy? Is it one of those companies you can just pay for an award?
They have an Instagram account and their new defunct website looked pretty barren. Apparently they're out of the UAE kek. Guess somebody should tell the pro-LGBT crowd that this move was awarded token awards by a "film festival" run from Dubai
