i havent watched past ep 4 yet but I loved 3 and 4 they were better than several of the last few seasons eps. The animation on ep 1 was a bad idea though
Not a single impression was anything that should have been put to a recording. They were both hamfistedly implemented in the script, which was meandering, and I say that as an ATHF fan that "gets" ATHF, and holy frick they're just bad impressions. Was a 1/10 for me.

Why do they only come out with 5 episodes for new releases like this? Same thing happened with Dont Hug Me I'm Scared. Its enjoyable for about an hour and then its gone and theres no lasting power because you can't rewatch a 5 episode season more than once. Bums me out cause I'm a diehard ATHF fan.

Mediocre. Still got some chuckles out of me, more than what Rick and Morty could say. It's not bad by any means, in fact I don't think the writers have lost their touch at all. However the new villains aren't as memorable as older ones and the show feels like it has lost some edge. For example, Shake enslaves some race in a videogame and the worst he does is make them lick his ass, meanwhile Carl enacts full on environmental destruction and all sorts of crimes on a race in Storage Zeebles. Overall it was alright, just missing a little bit of the magic.

Terrible. Member berries, ugly animation, unfunny overwritten scenarios. The voice actors still know their characters but every other single thing around them is shameful.

Probably AS trying to bring back viewers in their mid-30s to 40s who watched ATHF back when it was new.
They canceled it to focus on Rick and Morty

Lacks the cheapness of old ATHF, and therefore lacks the soul, even if I did chuckle at a few of the jokes.

welp I just watched ep 5 and that felt real half assed, lacked jokes and the "villain" wasn't spooky or funny enough

networks are starting to be more lenient with their legacy shows. it's always sunny only does 8 episodes a year now, and south park only does 6.

Shaking up the dynamic was interesting. Frylock lost way more often than Shake in this season.

ATHF died around the time they started naming each season something different.
aqua TV show show has one of the greatest theme songs of any TV show ever though
