the blockbuster got turned into a TD insurance, the local video rental place is still there (the average of the town must be like 60+ so i guess it still has a market)
Good to see the mom and pop store still stands after getting shafted by the chain video rentals back in the day. Please tell me you still rent movies from there.
My town was too small for a blockbuster. We had a local place called River City Video. It's still there just empty but they also still sell snow cones out back in the summer.
One of them was been vacant for 20 years, one was split into a check cashing and mattress place but now those are vacant and the other one is a clothing outlet.
mine turned into a strip club called "wiener busters" they only sell roast beef sandwhiches and tuna sushi but got shut down when the chef served a cum glazed roast beef sandwhich
a mexican ice cream shop
the whole area where it used to be is completely dead now, they built a walmart on the other side of town and all the businesses moved over there.
Haha I never went to this Hollywood video. I went to the blockbuster down the street from it by albertsons and rite aid. Think its like a skin care product store now or something.
I went to both of them because they had slightly different selections of movies. One of them had a pretty extensive Godzilla collection, but I forget which one it was
Mine is now a used media store. You say even rent stuff there for a dollar a day and return the stuff through the old rental return drop box. Being in there after it was shut down for literally 10 years was an incredibly bizarre experience.
combo donut place and family fitness. i haven't been there in a year, looking on google maps i don't see the family fitness anymore
it was a big building though.
one turned into a BBQ restaurant, the other into a cajun restaurant, and the massive one turned into some medical center. The BBQ restaurant is absolutely fantastic, they have the best ribs I've ever eaten and somehow its all made by some little old asian lady, as opposed to the typical old black or white guy that you would expect to be making good southern q. the only thing bad about the place is that the sides options are pretty sparse, nothing special about them, and you don't get a lot, but the ribs are fricking heaven
A real estate office.
Yeah same, lol. The big wall display windows are good for putting up property listings for people on the street to look at from outside
Doc in a Box
My hometown turned into a blighted hellscape. If the building hasn't been torn down then I assume there's people doing meth and raping a girl inside.
A Verizon office/Banana Republic(the building was so big they built a wall in the middle and turned it into two places)
It was a Hollywood Video and I think it's a Five Guys now.
one is a pawn shop
the other is a tobacco store and at&t store
I had two equidistant from my house. One a dollar store and the other sells hot tubs.
mine is a dollar store.
Frequented 3 that I remember in two states, one is a Dollar Tree, one is a Cajun buffet and the other is an urgent care now.

A couch warehouse

Half Starbucks half paint store.
>What did your hometown Blockbuster / Hollywood Video turn into?

Mine was a WE BUY GOLD back in 2008-2012. Not sure what it is now.
A boutique meat market

Streetview hasn't been updated in over a decade, it's a tobacco shop now supposedly.

Oh no some moron will swat the entire town of Casino, NSW. You fricking moron kys
Only if they live in the store dipshit.
>sweating tobacconist types angerily
Casino's basically a methtown these days, isn't it
Definitely, haven't lived there for a long time but was always a shithole in my estimation.
I only know those shit towns like Casino, Port Pirie etc because they have greyhound tracks, lol

My local Blockbuster also turned into a bank. Then a different local bank with all the cool columns and such turned into an El Pollo Loco
Its getting weird out there bros
mine turned into a strip club called "wiener busters" they only sell roast beef sandwhiches and tuna sushi but got shut down when the chef served a cum glazed roast beef sandwhich

It’s called “the house of used” in Mesa Arizona.
looks kinda cool and musty
That'd look like a great place to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon just browsing through their shit with my girlfriend
I don't have a girlfriend
a liquor store (that I still frequently go to for kino enhancers)
My Hollywood Video is now a small independent supermarket.
Mine turned into a vacant blockbuster.
that's a jets pizza on the right
Jets any good compared with, say, Domino's or Godfathers?
this is what it used to look like
it's pretty decent and a lot better than the other two but I don't know if it's worth going out of your way for. the deep dish is really good
The blockbuster I went to the most became a goodwill, worked out pretty well since they didn’t need to change the paint job
Indian Takeaway.
It's pretty good.
combo donut place and family fitness. i haven't been there in a year, looking on google maps i don't see the family fitness anymore
it was a big building though.
found it, still there. glad the gym didn't close
real estate office. wasn’t a chain store, just a local spot called “video club”
t. socal. go figure lol
IDK, but next time I'm visiting my parents I'll go check and report back
A fricking record store… the irony!
Maybe movies will go though a similar physical media revival in 10 to 20 years
mine's a h&r block
my childhood one is basically a wall now too, with a poster above it, diner for burgers next to it instead of a bank and yogurt place
Some bubble tea place (8 fricking dollars for some cold tea and tapioca mate wtf) and an optometrist
a gym
>hometown chain store
