Out of the MCU shows, not counting the Netflix one, I always thought Loki was the best. S2 continues that trend.
The problem is they take one hour of actual plot and spread it out over 6 hours.
I started it but it didn't grab me like the first season did. Maybe because back then I still had hope marvel would be good still but the rest of it sucks now and so I don't really care about this either
Streaming show formula is to show you a bunch of things that don't make sense but they do by the end of the season, and that's the climax, when all the shit you were like "What the frick?" is answered. There's no actual climax to the story. The story just doesn't end.
It actually works barely in season 1 because it's a new confusing place, and you're following Loki.
It doesn't work in season 2 because they're arbitrarily throwing new characters at you that have some sort of significance but you won't know why until the end of the season. This barely works with OB because of the time loom drama, but it does not work with Brad because nobody fricking cares. He has way too many lines. Season 1 was good enough that the overbearing Black folk could be ignored and dismissed, but there's not really anything happening yet to dismiss the egregious shit they are flinging. On top of all that, fricking McDonalds ad of an obviously better world. I wonder why it's so much better in that universe. Maybe the holocaust actually happened successfully.
The way in which Brad was handled was so fricking weird, he has like one line in the first episode and then suddenly the entire second episode revolves around him. Same goes for Dox, she has like one line in the first episode and then completely disappears until the last part of the second episode when they make a big deal about her character as if she was around for every other scene
Yeah they gave us a plot at the end of ep 1 when the army is going through a portal, then they drop it for an hour until the end of ep 2. It's just not a good viewing experience. I'm livid most of the time having to wait for them to say their fake filler lines obviously meant to kill time.
Some of the action is too subtle. I don't know why they are such gays about the subtlety.
Loki actually gets cut off from Brad during the chase by a van, and he sends a mirror image of him after him, then he sets up the crowd while that chase is happening. But we were swerved as well as Brad because we get this clip edit where Loki is not on the other side of the van, then he is. So they were careful to maintain continuity if you pay close enough attention, but but they still set up the viewer for the rollercoaster that is capeshit by it being too subtle and confusing. They could have illustrated Loki using a mirror to chase him. Instead we're left wondering why in the frick Loki isn't able to catch him in a foot race, God vs Man. It's just irritating
I thought the first season was shit, even outside of destroying every character and movie that came before it. The whole TVA erasing timelines thing is so catastrophic and insane, it's staggering.
it's taken directly from Endgame tho. They even name the guy Mobius. Tilda Swinton would improve this series.
I liked Loki.
Jonathan Majors is distractingly ugly though. Like I can't even remember why Sylvie is mad at Loki right now, nor can I even remember what the gold/marble pad thing that Sylvie has does either, because I was so distracted by how ugly Jonathan Majors is and how fricking huge his fricking nose is

BUT I had a spicy McCrispy combo and a McDouble yesterday and it was pretty good.

Ever tried the McCrispy? Hasn’t replied Ed the McChicken for me but it’s a nice change. Junior Chicken always seems off to me, too much bread maybe although I like the peppery chicken patty.
McCrispy is definitely next on my list, you aren't the first to say how pleasant it is! I do agree about the bread with Junior Chicken but as you say, that spicy patty is toptier. I used to get two junior chickens and a small fry when I worked at mcdicks during highschool. I have always had a super fast metabolism and am perpetually skinny.
The black pepper somehow makes a big difference with the Junior McChicken. They use the same patty with the chicken breakfast sandwich (on an English muffin with cheese) and it’s divine.
I really like the spicy McCrispy although I once had an older one and it was quite dry and disappointing but generally it’s made fresh and is piping hot and nice.
It has potential to be good but girl loki ruins it and I can already see season 2 is going to be a boring slow burn mystery when this show should be self contained episodes of Loki and Owen Wilson going on different time adventures.
I like it. It's not serious as a heart attack but it isn't stupid like Thor Love and Thunder. As bad as MCU has been since Endgame, this is refreshing.
Still holding out hope for Secret Invasion S2 to be decent.
It has no drama and everyone but Loki, Mobius and black woman act like they're both bored and have no idea what they're saying. Black woman only gets a pass because they've told her to act emotional and she's doing it.
Notable in being disappointing is Sylvie, who is just a plain bad actor, and poor old Short Round, who got hired just to do Data again.
In terms of enjoyability, scenes with Loki and Mobius are typically good as the actors are elevating the material, which makes it better than most other Marvel TV, as the actors in the other shows struggle more with the bullshit they have to perform. It's still not good though.

Stunt casting will always be a turn off for me, especially when the actor is undeserving of their recent acclaim.
I'd be more hyped had they cast Johnny Bananas from Real World: Key West than some chang who got a pity Oscar.
Is it me or is this season kinda dull, sloppy and poorly paced? I felt the previous season was far more entertaining, engaging and cohesive, this one feels like a bunch of scenes and dialogue spliced together with no rhyme or reason.
so far yeah. I thought they were gonna jump right into the multiple evil timelines and whatnot, like a monster of the week deal, but it's all about Sophie. She caused all this shit so they might as well roll with it. That b***h has to be banging the producer.

Season 1 was great, Season 2 is boring... yeah, yeah, Ouroboros the Lonely Maytag Repairman is behind everything and all the rest is fluff, got it. <yawn>
