Damn I hadn't heard the news. I haven't kept up with DC in a while but regardless of all the dumb shit he wrote he wrote a lot of good stuff too.
How is DC even doing these days? Has Superman been pulled out of the Bendis-shaped crater he fell into?

The current run is pretty good, feels tailor made for fans of TAS but Jon himself though is pretty fricked
Bendis himself is no longer doing Marvel/DC content, he has an imprint over at Dark Horse
Making kid Jon and adult Jon seperate characters
Creating some more characters and teams that he can keep collecting royalties from indefinitely.

I salute this man for saving Green Lantern and for making Batman comics so much worse.
For all he managed to do for GL, DC has run that line into the ground again. It's pretty damn sad.

I't's probably why DC kept insisting JSA was 12 issues in the solicits while Johns kept insisting it was an ongoing. He's probably off the book at issue 12, and I wouldn't be shocked if DC launched or at least announced minis for YJS and JSD before Johns is done by issue 12.
And Johns collabed with Adams and Sheridan on Flashpoint Beyond and seems to trust Venditti, which is why those 3 are the ones with the JSA minis. He probably expects one or two of them to continue his JSA book and wants them on YJS and JSD books.
Johns does that a lot, where he drops plot points and characters he doesn't have time for and sets other writers up to use them. Like he had Robinson take over the Wonder Woman book so Grail and Jason could shit it up.

Don’t know what came into John’s head when he thought the world was just itching for 4 new Jsa books. As is I would be completely fine if every JSA affiliated member (except for infinity inc) sank into the final pit of death.
Let Jay Garrick finally die of old age. It was fine to have him in the 90’s, but the modern bloat of flashes (including resurrected BA) only make him redundant.
I want Johns saving Marvel by becoming EIC and CEO, and he hiring Shooter to be Editor on the SM
