I was listening to discover weekly on spotify when a song came on with these lyrics >You said "baby do you want to come home with me? I've got Buffalo 66 on DVD"
Instantly made me think of all the Gallo threads on Cinemaphile. The song if anyone is curious
I really love and cherish his two films. Essential Killing is kino too. I wish he’d release Promises Written in Water and I’m seriously hoping this recent nontroversy doesn’t effect the release of The Policeman
theres a director character in the entourage tv series that is based on gallo. he starts shooting porn under a different name. stay with me here... i was came across a porno that was very artsy and for some reason buffalo 66 was playing on the tv in the background the entire time. im pretty sure gallo made it
It's kino, but similarly to The Shining, it's a tough watch when you know about it. Vincent Gallo was abusive to Ricci during this film, similarly to how Kubrick abused Duvall.
One of my most recent favorite movies just saw it like 4 years ago. At first I thought it was just kinda silly but then when you really feel Billy's entire core is ruined by his birth it makes the whole thing a lot deeper, the family scene seems comical at first but then the dad sings and you feel this great emptiness in him aswell a great man far beyond his time. Then theres the ultra therapeutic and cathartic bowling scene and when Billy is in the diner calling his friend he shit on the whole movie to tell him that finally he sees some light in his life and that he has hope again thats probably the best movie scene of a true loser having a moment of clarity that things can be better for him, made me cry
How was the scene with the parents silly ? Definitely never experienced any pain in life. The ending felt forced and unrealistic. Brown bunny is Cinemaphile, buffalo 66 is Reddit
the way the mom treats Billy is comical even if it is abusive, saying Buffalo 66 is reddit means nothing to me I love the movie and I've never even seen Brown Bunny cause it just doesnt sound as good
This is a beautiful post. Arguably it's a shit film from a shit director shit actor Vincent Gallo but he's raw and he invites rawness. He's the movie equivalent of Morrissey and I would hug everyone and anyone who connects to it.
kino
>average Cinemaphile user's fantasies put on film
it's based and Gallo is 100% our guy.
Great movie but The Brown Bunny sucks
>The Brown Bunny sucks
Anon, I..
Gallo has the superior opinions
Korine has the superior kino (and bravery to actually make and release things)
Kino. Sad that zoomers found out about it and are now making it out to be some sort of personality trait, though.
Lmao. Listen to the song Wet Dream by Wet Leg
why?
>that 00's aesthetic
I WANT TO GO BACK
I WANT TO GOBACK

I think Brown Bunny was better.
I woulda liked to see Christina in Brown Bunny instead of Chloe "Hoover Mouth" Sevigny.
This guy gets it
There's a scene in Prozac Nation where Christina seductively sucks a dudes finger. You just know she gives passionate slowblows.
Top 5 movie for me
i'm a lifelong buffalo bills fan and i will never be happy. even when we're good then you have the chefs always beating us
at least you have OJ

Well are you gonna link it?

She absolutely deserved it, would have been a bad movie otherwise
OH NO
anyway
Ricci is peak woman in this movie, the pacing is shit and the movie looks bad for the most part but the bowling alley scene is high kino
I always thought gallo was some prickly Frenchie, seeing an interview and finding out he's actually just Quentin Tarantino was disturbing.
He seemed like a normal guy in that howard stern interview. I still think he’s crazy because of the sperm selling thing
I enjoyed it. Brown bunny I can't sit through though, snoozefest
It's very good. The strip club scene is kind of fricking gay but the rest is kino
Brown bunny>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
66
Forced and dull
when is this homosexual gonna release his third flick?
the hottest chick i know posted that she saw this for the first time on social media today. weird coincidence
She’s lying. You can’t watch it on social media

>how is this comedic scene in this comedic drama film funny
shut the frick up you pretentious fricking homosexual
This was p much my take. Almost cried and thought about it all day afterward. Such a good ending

It's good, would have been better if he murdered the homosexual at the beginning and Scot Norwood at the end.
How can one man be this based
he really is /ourdirector/
Nah, you’re thinking of taxi driver. This movie is better because it’s not taxi driver
overrated
